Go get "The Road" from your library and read it by candle light if the power goes out.

yeah we ended up with 30 inches in my yard, and about 24 around town down the road. I threw the chains on the tires and a few chains on the back of the truck and went out in the worst of the storm friday night and saturday and made 1800 bucks pullin desperate idiots in little cars out of ditches with my tank. Not bad for about 14 hours give or take of total work

Yes because people who might have to go to work despite a blizzard and happen to drive little cars are desperate idiots.

You're awesome with your chains and your truck though, keep it real.

my company never gets days off for weather :( it's a 99% likelihood that i'll be here (at work) on christmas eve surrounded by a giant pile of snow and wishing i'd had enough extra vacation days to take the day off like everyone else. WOE IS ME.

actually, i had been planning to take the day off thursday but that was before i knew i'd have to save all my remaining vacation days to use for surgery. boooo.

If it is who I think it is you better behave - that girl is naaasty. The phrase "hot dog in a hallway" comes to mind. Initials are A.D. correct? :D

And for those of you complaining about a snow.... let's see what wikipedia has to say about where I live:

Syracuse has a humid continental climate and is known for its snowfall. Boasting 115.6 inches (294 cm) on average,[10] the Syracuse metro area receives more snow on average than any other large city in the United States.[11][12] Syracuse continually wins the Golden Snowball Award, among Upstate cities. Its record so far is 192.1 inches (488 cm). The high snowfall is a result of the fact that the city receives both lake effect from nearby Lake Ontario and nor'easter snow.

Did I mention my car is being buried by snow as we speak? Got to love having to shovel out your car in the morning and at night when you want to go home from work.... :ugh:

I like this.... I'm packing up to end the work day.... if you never hear from me again I froze to death in a snow drift somewhere in Siberiacuse 50 yards away from my car.

i walked the six blocks to work today in freezing rain because i did not want to scrape half an inch of ice off my car this afternoon

turned out to be a pretty wise decision based on seeing all the poor saps standing in the parking lot doing just that when i left :)

really? because i didn't have to scrape my car after work today at all--it just rained all day and was still 34 at 5:30. just had to turn on the wiper blades. by the time i got home, it wasn't even misting. this storm is totally going to puss out.

If you could shovel sunshine, then I would have been shoveling it all morning. Damn this California weather.

Yes, Tiff, that is who I hung out with. I have put my hot dog in worse hallways.

That isn't my intention. Though if it happens, owell. *shrug*

I think my hot dog has sat on the sidelines enough of my life, I pretty much let it run free now.
