For those that pray...

I'm asking everyone, so if you don't, just ignore this.

My celebrating has, unfortunately, been cut short this year. I just found out a couple nights ago that my father is in the ICU.
He has suffered two heart attacks, the latter major, and was rushed into emergency heart surgery because he flat-lined and they could not bring him back.
He is currently on dialysis because his kidneys were failing, and his blood pressure is weak and keeps dropping.
All his major blood vessels to his heart were blocked.
He is completely unresponsive. He was also dead for over 20 minutes before they were able to resuscitate him, so there's a very real possibility of brain damage.

It was almost one year ago to the day that I got a similar phone call.
I'll be heading down there in the next week or so.

There is so much that's about to go badly with this situation, I'm not even going to go into it.

Please, if you pray in any form, please say an extra one for the sake of my family.
They could really use some positive energy right now.

i know how scary that is, we went through a lot of similar crap with josh's dad in september/october. you have my thoughts/prayers/good wishes/etc. <3 <3

Same thing happened with my father, and the brain damage was too severe. He wasn't able to breath on his own, nothing could be done. Hopefully it is a different story with yours, but 20 minutes is a long time for the brain to go without oxygen.

I really do hope things turn out better than they did with my father. <3

Dad passed this morning at 10am PST. His body just couldn't take it anymore, started rejecting medication, etc.

Love you Dad. I know Uncle Doug was there waiting to take your hand when the moment came.

It looks like I am going to continue to be down here in Vegas for at least the next couple of weeks yet, that is if I don't end up in prison or worse for flying my OWN damn plane into the IRS building.... or the SSA.... grrrr.
