Ran across this the other day. It's a graphical comparison of the Democrat and GOP income tax plans. Just take a look and see which group a certain side favors...

The ONLY difference is that the tax cut maxes out on the first $250,000 of taxable income.

Just because the circle for $1,000,000+ incomers is larger doesn't mean that it is a favored group. They were across the board tax cuts, and of course the largest earners are going to get the largest cuts. That's how percentages work. Big surprise, 10% of 1000 is a lot more than 10% of 100! That chart is used for propaganda purposes.

the millionaire republicans get a comparatively massive cut. even in the poorer brackets which i'm assuming everyone on this board belongs in, the republicans want more money than the dems in taxes

it's like the whole louis ck sketch about how poor people get heckled and feed by the banks if they owe $40 or overdraft, like they're just joking about being broke or something, yet the banks see a rich person and go "oh you have a lot of money? here's some more money!!!!"
