Years After Playing Everquest, I met Vinshayr irl

Years after I played EverQuest on the Nameless server, I met Vinshayr the Pumpkin in a bar in Poway, CA. He actually turned out to be a huge asshole, and we got into a brawl outside of the bar. I beat the shit out of him and got arrested. It was all worth it. I'm not a really aggressive guy, but seriously, if you had met this guy, you woulda punched him a few times. I never would have thought that I would beat up our GM, but you know what, I don't feel bad at all.

The idea of a GM in a game I'm playing is just hilarious. EQ was so funny how it had all these unwritten rules just because the game was so poor they couldn't fix them. If I'm paying $10 a month to play a game and I find some exploit to kill something, you either go fix the problem or let me exploit it. Banning people for KSing or being mean is equally retarded.

Being a "guide" on the PVP servers was a blast. Any KS or "being mean" petitions would be responded to by, "Get some friends together and kick their butts or find somewhere else to go."
