also i would love love love LOVE to live in colorado someday. move there if you can, spazz!! it's amazing.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I completely agree that Kansas is one of the most horrible places on the face of the planet. I have long advocated walling the entire state in, without letting any residents out, then nuking the entire area into glowing radioactive glass. Or, if you're feeling particularly soft-hearted, treat it like a giant-scale Escape From New York compound. Maybe auction off hunting rights to out of staters, and borrow Palin's wolf hunt planes and thin the herds.

So, let me assure you, my hatred for Kansas is at LEAST the equal to your own. I just am unconvinced that Nebraska (or oaklahoma or anywhere else in the midwest) is somehow vastly superior. ;)

Oh, and as for Colorado, make sure you live in the mountains. Eastern Colorado is almost a dead ringer for Western Kansas, or so I remember from when we drove through the place. But yeah, I could see living in Denver or one of the other mountain towns. It's one of the few inland areas I'd actually consider. (I'm entirely too fond of open water to live that far from it. Maybe an ideal spot would be Lake Tahoe. Mountains AND big expanse of water.... Hmmm...)
