I forgot about this

gnome rogue wearable~ I waxed some hotshot on RZ during test of tactics when he assumed I was a necro, lol

i thought ToT was before luclin?

There were 3 TOTs. The first 2 were single-group fights, the 3rd was 18 v 18. Those were some of the most fun I had in EQ, actually.

The first one, there was an official LOS team, that was handpicked by someone (I have no memory of who, now). There were more of us who wanted to participate, though, so we formed a scrubs group, with me, Ariel, Barnabuss, Magosian (aka Jmann), Tenaj and Vertulias. We then proceeded to completely own face, and pretty handily won the server competition. The matchups were posted, and the team from Da'Kor came over to our boards here and much smack-talking was done by them. We then met them on Test, and crushed them 6-0.... rofl. We actually won several rounds that time, until we ran into a team with 3 monks, all with stun-proc staves, and got beat to hell. Barn was one of the best healers I have EVER seen, but even he couldn't heal through that much stunnage. http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2000-10-29

The 2nd one, I think it was a Sanc team that won, but they got crushed 1st round on test.

The 3rd one was right before Luclin hit, and right around when we killed the AOW with PC tanking. Every single monk who was there on test was following me around, it seemed like, demanding to see "The Pants"... rofl. We crushed The Dark Exile in round 1, and then got paired vs the Rallos Zek team in round 2. We only barely lost, 15-12, even though they had their entire team kitted out with Soulfires, and we had 1 for the entire team. Give us soulfires, or not allow them, and we crush them. http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-12-02

Oh, by the way, did you guys know it's been just over 10 years since the AOW died for the first time? July 27th, 2001. Seems both ages ago and just yesterday, doesn't it? http://legacyofsteel.net/Archives/Post/2001-07-27

It was like a free key through every locked door in the game.

this, actually. but you had to have a mount, right? and i was a shadowknight so i didn't need AoN for skeleton form. and then i had an AA mount. i was built for scouting VT tbqh. skeleton on to use mount because i didn't have the luclin models on, then click mount off when you ran into the door and it popped you thru. you taught me that trick adam, hahahah. love it

also as far as alex is talkin about oldschool shadowknights not being able to be skeletons, yelinak's sword proced call of bones. troi had it and blew my mind back in the day. that guy was hardcore

Nope, you could do it w/o a mount. I walked through Ssraa all the time with the trick.

I know I had one on RZ

and it dropped in skyshrine in velious i thought, no?

yup

the only ALL/ALL robe in the game aside from the lame nightie

Robe of the Azure Sky. Neither were quite all/all as elves, half elves, dwarves, and halflings could not wear robes.

You can use mounts to accomplish the same thing.

For the original Yamori the wizard, nothing beat FINALLY getting jboots. It made such a difference in the ability to solo with that shitty class, and camping the ancient cyclops and chasing down that gnome in Rathe mountains was such an ordeal.

For my beastlord, although there wasn't really anything "aww yeah" about it (since I just bought some puppet strings and charmed the quest NPC and gave it the 10pp gem to get it :P), the Overthere gate hammer was by far the most useful and used item ever.
