Last and ill say it yet again. If you got rid of your "attack dogs" people would just breed those traits into something else. Theres so many reasons people like large breeds. Some people live in a bad spot and a large dog like a rotty makes them feel safer. Some people like that regal look of a doberman. Some folks hunt bear and hog and need something rough and tough and so on.

People always want to ban some shit so that they can make the world a safer place not realizing that not everyone is in agreement about what makes the world a safe place.

Actually one last thought. People in america are fat lazy and stupid and will put up with any amount of bullshit long as we got burger king and reality tv. That said you start killing family pets and you might make people in america go absolutely nuts. I'd euthanize 100,000 pitbulls if it meant one baby was not mauled and killed. That's just my personal opinion, Spazz. I'd throw in all the attack dogs: Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, etc that have no business being a 'pet' anymore than one should have small children and a python or mountain lion. It has nothing to do with Dobermans or German Shepherds, which are good family pets and easier to train and use for home defense.

The problem with smart legislation is that people dont agree on what smart is or whats goes to far. I think a rotty makes a great pet. I understand your viewpoint that people should be able to own a Pit Bull and a lot of the attacks are the result of poor ownership. The bottom line is they arent that dangerous. The chances of getting mauled to death by a dog no matter what breed is slim to none. More than a 100 people die a year falling down stairs, 9000 a year from pools 900 a year from bike accidents, 100000 from alcohol and its related incidents.
