man ultrasound photos are so weird. like that right there looks like a puppy, not a person. and i can never, ever see the things other people can see. "you see that there!? he's sucking his thumb!" "um.... all i see is a bunch of blurry blobs and a foot."
ETA congratulations harriwin. i'm excited for you and the ladyfriend and the wee spud in her babybaker.
I remember when I looked at the first ultrasound of Vincent. It was at that point that it was no longer just an idea of having a kid but a reality for me. It was exciting and scary as hell at the same time. Little did I know once he was born I never had any time to be scared.
Congratulations, Harri. I think this will be good for you. Are you and the mother still together? I guess there's no longer any debate about your virginity in NT.

Very much so, yes.
We had a complicated on and off thing for nearly two years now, the last year being more serious.

Going to Tahoe this upcoming weekend with her family and this engagement ring which I've had for a couple of months now. Been with my gf for a lil over 2 years and despite being almost total opposites when we first met. Wish me luck!

Is this the same chick who put your nice shirts on the floor? Well, grats anyway! I got married in Tahoe and had the reception at Edgewood country club with a panoramic view of the lake. :p

Dude, go have dinner at Edgewood... world-class cuisine (stfu drem), romantic ambience, and breathtaking views, oh and reasonably priced too for the magnificent food quality.

good luck man. after 3+ years with kim we got engaged on our 3rd anniversary last october. gonna get married before the year's out. christmas or new year's eve. hope it all works out for you, too!
and PS mindia, edgewood is great. famous in its own right. even if they do their menu in italics which looks funny to me. that's the type of cuisine i'm familiar with if that gives you any idea of where i'm coming from when i talk about food
in other news the whack ass wing joint we opened up in eugene a year ago that makes everything from scratch except mayonaisse (20 gallons a week from scratch would be meticulous) took second best new restaurant, third best place to take your kids, and the number one open mic in all of eugene in local polls. life is moving, even if for the first time in my life i'm not cooking food as exciting as i'd like. at least we're busy as hell and i'm still making more money than i ever have /shrug
Narrock wrote:Grats Harrison! Awesomeness! Make sure your gf is taking prenatal vitamins with folic acid every day.
True - though the most important time to be taking folic acid is really when you're trying to conceive, during those crucial first several days of cell division and early on (before most know they're pregnant) for spinal cord formation. Definitely won't hurt to continue taking throughout pregnancy though.
Congrats to everyone on their exciting life changes!
I'm about 6 months into my nursing career now as an orthopedic nurse taking care of joint replacement and trauma patients. Ugzug is still doing some sort of computer voodoo. He's a director over engineers at his company, and one of the up-and-comers. The boss man really values his thoughts and opinions, which makes me happy because he has a lot to contribute. Now we're just working on paying down debt acquired while we were a single income family during my schooling and saving up for a fancy-pants 5-year-anniversary vacation next summer
He's good. He enjoys his job, and has a lot of respect for his boss, which is nice. Makes him happy to work for someone he respects. He's been on a health kick, lately, which I think is awesome. He's been watching what he eats (which makes it easier for me to watch what I eat in return), and has been making an effort to get more active. He's dropped about 25lbs and getting back into running, though his knees have been giving him fits. We live in a pretty hilly area, so his joints aren't loving the constant ups and downs of all the hills. We did our first 5k together a few weeks back and he beat the time goal he had set for himself. Overall, though, he's happy and on a good path in his life. Thanks for asking!
It means you need to chill the fuck out. You never sent me any pictures of that trim either. Your single now lets see some glam shots of that pussy baby girl.
