What does it mean
When your computer talks to you when you turn it on and it says "The processor might be damaged or installed improperly, damage [discharge] could be the main battery" and the screen is all black? I flip the switch in the back then turn it on and again and it will work fine, sometimes I have to try several times to get it to start right. Then sometimes the screen will go black and it will do that when the computer is already started and I am playing EQ, browsing the web etc.
Johnn has it been particularly warm recently? If your machine is overheating it can cause a lot of wierd things to happen. Proccessors are probably the most sensitive to this.

Chances are there is no real damage done save for reducing the lifetime of the components. If it's only happening when your on EQ, there is a good chance that the load on the machine is causing a build up of heat. The message and stuff you are getting is probably a warning threshold to prevent actually damage to the processor (ie burning it up).
Yes, make sure the machine has decent ventalation. Anywhere you have fans, make sure they are not blocked. Another good thing is with the case off turn the machine on and just verify all the fans are actually working. If the problem still persists sometimes running the computer with the side off can help, however this also reduces the effectiveness of the fans due to there being less of a vacum inside the case. I did see it suggested once to try placing a box fan next to the machine with the side off blowing inside of it.... this should definetly keep it cool, and tell you for sure if it's a heat problem, but I wouldn't consider it a permanant fix.
You may just need to keep the room cooler, or add aditional fans, you can get slot fans that plug in like cards that suck air through one of the slots on the back of the machine and blow it up through the case, or bay fans that take up a drive bay slot and pull air in through the front of the case. These are fairly in expensive.

worst advice ever
Cases are designed to be enclosed with fans for a reason, otherwise they would be sold open. Heat disperses in a science type way that I am incapable of explaining, however, keeping the case open actually causes more bad than good.

It's a paste that you put between your chip and heat sink. It helps draw heat off the chip.

Friend of mine's processor burned up cause the heat sink wasn't fitted right and the goo was wiped off by some one. Also, if there's no beeping when you start it up, the problem could be in the BIOS. I'm a novice here with this shit, but I think BIOS is responsible for checking everything before it boots, and it's the one that beeps the error codes. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, now I'm curious too.
Yes, but if you don't know what you are doing I wouldn't recommend it.
Go to your local repair shop and talk to them about fixing it. Probably cost around $60 an hour for them to do it but it should be done right.

Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.
Yeah that would be the best way to do it. If ya don't know what yer doin (and I'm speakin from personal experience) stay the hell outta the tower. What you spend on getting it repaired won't be near what you'll have to spend on a new puter after you fuck it up. WOOT! 5 o'clock it's go time. G'luck with your problem though.
