I need a new game like nobody's business >:(
Hey y'all. I'm currently in a weird life situation where I've got some free time but am under a ton of stress, so I'm looking for some xbox games that I can really dig into and zone out for awhile with but that are NOT overly intense or violent (ex, deadspace 2 and gears of war were too intense for me due to non stop running/shooting/fighting).
I really liked these, so maybe something similar or along the lines of:
-Oblivion
-Fall out 3/New Vegas
-Dragon Age: Origins
-LA Noire
Any hot suggestions? ;D

The Mass Effect games? You may even have time to beat 1 and 2 before 3 comes out.
Also, Borderlands.
Also, Borderlands.

Dark Souls. Best game I've played all year.

I can't recommend Fallout 3 more. It's really fantastic and totally addictive. Great flavor, great story, great game mechanics. It's a bit buggy though. Pick up the game of the year and it's good for 100+ hours if you're a completist. New Vegas is nice too if you want to keep going in that world. I didn't like it as much.

Mass Effect is one of the best games.
Also, if you have a PS3. Uncharted.
Uncharted 1&2 are amazing.

Haven't we, years ago, said Tikker's opinions on games are worthless.

Remove the on games and your statement is still accurate. He's not even an elitist, he's just...for lake of a better word...wrong.

fallout 3 was awesome
dragon age 2 is out now also but it's different
i never gave the fable games a chance but really enjoyed fable III
you should pick up assassin's creed 2 and assassin's creed brotherhood as well. the first one is fun but too repetitive
also yeah, skyrim 11/11/11

I just beat Batman: Arkham City and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The main story was a bit short, but there is still a lot of side-questing to do.
Re: I need a new game like nobody's business >:(
DARK SOULS. Holy fucking awesome game!
Re: I need a new game like nobody's business >:(
Besides the ones listed above, I'd suggest:
Divinity II - The Dragon Knight Saga. Very Oblivion like with a fun quest. This can be found cheap.
Risen - Nice RPG, also can be found cheap.
Numen: Contest of Heroes - Lower budget but very entertaining RPG.
Like most others I'm waiting for Skyrim. PC preoder is 48 on Newegg..

fwiw, as a third-party viewer (i don't play the games but sometimes i watch as josh plays them on the big screen), i think the second fable is really good (he just started the third one the other day but so far i haven't been able to get into it) and mass effect 1 and 2 were fun stories, too. he also just beat deus ex and really liked it, though i didn't pay any attention to that one.
lolz
Re: I need a new game like nobody's business >:(
fable III is better in some ways worse in others i think. they progress in eras like age of empires, kinda hurts it. not a pirate rpg fan. industrial age is whack. other than that, great look, better everything, but stuff like getting married is still retarded and only there to make socially retarded people more socially retarded imo. also i guess i play with that golden trail thing turned off, so it's kind of less of a cakewalk
in other news my friend forced me to finally play thru shivering isles for oblivion before skyrim comes out. as someone that never saw that expansion i think it's fucking awesome. very morrowindish. like they actually listened to the fans. kinda
gonna check out Risen. never heard of it. thanks lyion
