Well I mean seriously, man, come on. You're going to make a statement about how you owe it to him to hold your opinion until more information comes out despite the fact that the info that was already out was damning enough as it was. Fair enough, that's your guy and you're hesitant to abandon him.. I get it.

But then as more information comes out that makes him look guiltier by the second, your reaction is to defend him with even more indignance. Are you for real?

His Libya gaffe and foreign policy debate performance hurt him far more than the accusations of harassment which Clinton showed you can easily win with.

However, his book sales are gonna be awesome. Score!

The only thing worse than this GOP field was the 2008 DNC one....A community organizer, a President's wife, and Kucinich... Well, maybe this GOP field isn't that bad... It's a shame the better candidates aren't in the running.

More information? Lol. You mean more bullshit. "He said I was the same height as his wife". Oh the horror! Look, you can think he was an asshole or rude for some of the comments he allegedly made, but sexual harrassment? Hell no. The government-media complex knows that Cain would whoop FPb's ass in the election, so what better way to knock him down early by concocting bullshit about him to drag his name thru the mud... I'm not falling for it.

FPb has had more embarrassing gaffs than that, but they're always quickly swept under the rug by the liberal (mainstream) media. The asshole was giving a speech in Honolulu the other day and said "... here in Asia...". Haha what a fucking moron.

Did you even watch the interview? It's PAINFUL to watch. He is so obviously in over his head.

He had no clue what the fuck he was talking about. NONE. He had no idea what stance the president had taken on the conflict, anything leading up to it and what role the US even played in it.

Even YOU have to admit that it was a serious fuck up on his part.

Come on really? We're gonna hammer a guy who is obviously tired and had a brain fart?

Come on really? We're going to defend a guy who doesn't have the first clue about foreign policy but wants to be president? That wasn't a tired, brain fart. That was a "fuck, I have no clue what the fuck to say. I... uhmm... shit. Libya? I know I heard something about Libya recently... damn. Can't we talk about pizza?"

Tossica, if you've read this thread then you know I don't like this guy, but you're bashing him on gafaw's. The 57 states is one of many I can pick out from Obama, I can also pick out a ton from GWB, Clinton, Reagan....they're all brain farts, I don't hold it against any of them. Neither should you...

I don't. When someone clearly has no idea what the fuck they are even talking about yet keep blathering on, it's not a brain fart. It's a lack of knowledge on the given subject. This dude is a joke.

FPb is a joke. It is physically impossible to fuck America worse than obammy did. I think Cain would do great as Potus.

Then based on my video it's a joke that we have a president that has no fucking clue how many states there are in the continental U.S. unless it's in front of him with a teleprompter. That's the joke.

Kaemon, Tossica isn't really defending obammy, but you are absolutely correct in drawing that parallel.

Erik, I'm obviously not going to be able to talk sense into you about this. I don't care what the women who come out in the press say quite frankly--that there's litigation, settlements, and gag orders says all that needs to be said. If it was false, it would've been fought tooth and nail. It was not.. it was "oh shit, here's some cash, now shut up and not a word about it." And the first woman who received a settlement still has not said a word to the press because she doesn't want the attention; people after bags of money and fortune don't go out of their way to avoid the media, but people who had a traumatic experience do.

That he actually "forgot" about the settlement is damning enough. He's blamed Perry, he's blamed Democrats, he's blamed the women. He's changed his story a million times. He's made fucking jokes about serious allegations. He made a crack at Anita Hill, he made clear insinuation that he wouldn't hire Gloria Allred for sex (sick fucking joke when you're in deep shit for harrassment charges, and if you seriously think a statement like "man, I can't think of anything I'd hire her to do, and I mean anything! isn't alluding to something very specific in that context...well, that's a shame), He referred to a high ranking official as princess. I don't care what you think of Pelosi, you don't disrespect a woman--especially a congresswoman when you're running for president--by calling her princess.

And I have to respectfully disagree, Kae. Everyone has gaffes, and I don't really lend much credence to them because usually they're pretty entertaining and clearly a simple slip up. President Bush was a gaffe machine, and while they cracked me up and sometimes seriously worried me they weren't ever terribly influential on my view of his policies because not everyone is a great public speaker or good at thinking on their feet.

The Libya thing wasn't a silly gaffe, though. It was seriously painful to watch... 5 minutes of basically searching for the right answer to appease the base is what it looked like, and then what he ended up with was "well, I would've done it differently." Not how he would've done it differently, not even what particularly President Obama did that he disagreed with. Just that the president did something and he'd do it differently. I don't really feel that it qualifies as a gaffe at that point; that's a clear lack of knowledge on the subject. As painful as it was to watch Perry forget what department he'd like to get rid of, I could even chalk that up to nerves and a gaffe. Cain/Libya, though.. not really gaffe-ish so much as completely lost, unprepared, and uninformed on the subject. And then when asked about the situation and if it's representative of a lack of knowledge, his response is just to say 9-9-9?

To me he just looked terrified to answer it on his own because he didn't know which answer would best suit his base, so he went with the old standby of "whatever Obama did, I'd do the opposite" and I think it was pretty clear that he wasn't even sure what exactly the opposite would be. It would've struck me as more admirable had he just told that reporter something like "you know what, that's a complicated and ongoing issue and I'm not really sure how I feel about the actions taken at this time because there's still a long road ahead and we don't know what's going to happen yet." I don't know is certainly better in my book than silently stumbling into "whatever it was that guy did, I wouldn't have done that."

Hermie is still my man despite the allegations and gaffe. However, as a conservative, I'm going to vote, in the end, for who will be able to beat FPb. Interesting how Gingrich is smoking all of them in Iowa now...

I don't care who you vote for, that's completely your choice as it should be... but please don't be the type of person that votes for someone just to defeat someone. That type of voting is one of the biggest problems in our two party system.

Vote for your issues, not against someone elses.

. Nope, last time I voted my conscience (Perot in 92) I threw my vote away and basically helped slick willie get elected... I can still kick myself for that one. I am voting along party lines this time around and have the "anybody but obama" frame of mind. We cannot afford another 4 years of that asshole.
