Hey, I'm making an effort lately. All I'm getting from Drem is "stfu you stupid blah blah blah..." in every thread. I don't hound people like that. That's the major difference. Like I said before, he can't just dart in with a trolltastic jab here and there... he's trolling constantly with personal attacks. You KNOW I don't do that to any of you.

So, are we gonna have (and enforce) rules on the NT or not? There's a reason why the EE forum was created, and that reason is to prevent non-contributing megatrolls like Drem from ruining and derailing threads in the other forums, and to have a place for personal attacks.

Man how did I miss this thread.

2 things.1 I dont believe in god and you know it. I think its shameful to fill you child full of that crap but im sure in her prayers she is just hoping life is nice for the folks she lovesand it lets you see her hearts in the right place.

2 Mindia im talking to you here. Try to have the intestinal fortitude to give me the full 1:35 so that you can really get a vibe on how I feel about religion as a whole it may help you and I understand each other better as human beings :)

I'll watch it later this afternoon. The wife and I were busy all weekend grinding CC rep in Silithus (exalted now) and now doing the badge quests. Oh, and I got busted by a GM sneaking into AQ20. Apparently if you figure out how to enter a closed instance (AQ is not scripted yet on this server and the outside wall entrance is sealed) it sets off an alarm on the GM's screen. lol

This kind of blatant disrespect for other peoples' religious beliefs is exactly why I don't respond to a lot of your posts. Get that under control and we can have a discussion.

You need to stop taking shit i say so personally. Then you need to realize that there are like 4 people on this board who might respond to anything you say and so if you dont wanna get into it with them you might as well keep quiet. Its nothing personal against you I feel the same way about any other parent filling up they offsprings head with any kind of religious nonsense. This is why I posted the hellmouth video so you can understand the level of disgust that religion causes me to feel.

To me religion seems to be a tool for narrow mindedness, violence, and just plain old fashioned hatred. Its a tool used to divide us as people. In a lot of ways even here in the states if someone is of a completely different faith than you are people act funny. See Mitt romney. Or how bout an atheist how come we cant elect one of them ?

Or the concept of original sin and telling folks that they are born bad due to some shit that was totally beyond them.

Or the fact that you can get away with any barbaric shit that you want as long as you say its because of my religion.

I dont feel like going on a rant right now cuz i gotta run out the door but while you might not agree with me surely you can see how I got to the opinions I hold.

As I understand it, then,

person talks to God* (via prayer) - perfectly acceptable
God* talks to a person - person needs to be in an institution**

It sounds rather like a double standard.

In any case, if the communication is indeed one way, that seems very impersonal at the very least and woefully lop-sided at best, i.e. not much of a relationship as relationships go.

*could also substitute 'imaginary friend', 'Xenu', or 'Flying Spaghetti Monster', as appropriate

**unless you're a particular person from the Old Testament with whom God saw fit to directly communicate, in which case you're a member of a set with relatively few members

In a perfect world, both would be worthy of institutionalization.

God communicates in ways other than verbally, ie: Through answered prayers; God-given thoughts; The Holy Spirit speaking to you through reading, dreams, meditation, etc.
