My girl and I had a blast playing on the progression server last year but it got old once we hit mid 20's and started running out of content we could duo.

I logged in a few times a few years ago and it hasn't aged well. I love the memory of the game and friends, but I can't seem to get into it. I'll certainly go back just for nostalgia's stake if the free to play rules aren't too bad.

I remember going back when the platinum edition came out and you could get all expansions at the time for a pretty low price. It lasted about 2 weeks. It was fun in it's day, but it's just not very good anymore.

When we were playing on P99 with a consistent group of people it was fun. Pick up groups and the other shit is when it got old and tired.

yeah it's all about community. playing EQ without a good guild or any friends isn't fun at all. tho it's very doable now with all the boxing and hirelings going on. kinda sad it went that route. last time i played it was tough to find groups. even in guilds, if it wasn't raid time, people were just like "nah i'm just chillin solo, kinda mostly AFK, see u @ raid"

last time they reactivated old accts i fired it up and grouped with some real passive vanillas. how is 3 humans and 3 bots fun? no thx

sony is fuckin greedy imo. make all the shit free, don't gimp the free tiers
