My friend has been leveling my SK for me; I'm about to start playing again (more when I've got the holidays coming).

Server transfer was free to FV with full gear etc.

Big differences: people use elvish as the primary language on FV, most gear is tradeable, high activity levels of people, lots of casual folks because they aren't raid driven (due to loot), none of the idiots that you've dealt with off and on for the past 12 years.

i'm going to ask you a bunch of questions. i want to have them answered immediately

why elvish? that's retarded

is it still free to transfer?

is anyone we used to play with over there now?

lastly, you're a shadowknight now? fuck's up with that?! if there's no hope of a grungloe/drem future then why should i go on with the transfer at all?

hahahah. nah, i dunno, sounds pretty nice. nameless is extremely dead. the only people that wanna talk are old friends. everyone else is just doing what zanchief was talking about and going solo because it's better xp. people seem like they actually get kinda mad at you now if you ask if you can group with them. pretty pathetic. i don't like the fact that my mercenary is generally the only other group member i see

I have no idea about Elvish.

I have no idea if it is still free.

There are a lot of old faces on FV. Lot of new ones too.

It is my ex-girlfriend's SK; Grungloe is fun, but hi. Paladin DPS is painful; last time he was really used was main healing a COA run.

People group for fun on FV; actually quite a few newer players & it is fun to just go slumming with them and help them get shit done for the first time. Brings back the novelty. Only downside is non-instanced nameds are almost all perma-farmed except the ones that are tricky to spawn (eg. Bristlebane).

You can easily get groups on Nameless but you have to be 70+

at 85 i haven't seen anyone in any zones really. couple people here and there but they're gone after 30 minutes. all the hot zones are bare. saw a few people in the feerrott but i already explained why i ain't there

only place i see people is sitting AFK in guild lobby. / all 85 usually reveals everyone to be in different zones for the most part

where's everybody playing at? i must be missing something

PS you gonna be on tonight, Z? i'm not off work for 3 hours but will hop on after

Im lagging pretty bad right now so I decided to log. Gaazy is on though. Most people in the low 80s are in Ashengate. Always 10+ people there in the evening. I haven't been in the new feerott yet since the exp is still good in AG at my lvl (83)

cal folded like a knapkin

but k state won so who knows if we're #1 or not. bcs is BS

if pac 12 teams beat eachother we're weak. if sec teams beat eachother they're "amazing". and #1 with 2 losses. fuck that. we lost the natty by a field goal. fuck the haters. we're goin at it again

Appaprently come January, they're opening up 2 new "progession" servers again with original code 1 pve and 1 pvp and then announce EQ Next.

Their last progression server, as much as I enjoyed it, was a fucking hackridden exploited, joke.

I might hit this one up, but I doubt I have the time to grind to 50 oldschool style.

Vanguard is a better game, IMO. EQ is still fun but the EZ mode kind of kills it. Vanguard does a good job of challenging without having to grind. The world is so huge and the constant and varied quest lines make every character a completely different experience.

When that hits i might just have to head over and play around a bit on it. Logged back into EQ 1 for the first time in awhile, and damn i couldnt remember how to do a damn thing.
