In regards to the AP, for those living under a rock via AP ironically:

the Department of Justice had been secretly monitoring both the personal and work phones of numerous AP editors and reporters.

The IRS thing is obviously completely wrong. They should never be using political positions of groups as a basis for anything. I may disagree with those group's positions, but they have just as much right to exist as groups I do support. What I don't see is how it has anything to do with Obama, especially since the interim IRS head was the one lying his ass off to Congress, and not doing something about the problem.

The AP thing is scary too, though they at least have the legal fig leaf of trying to track down people illegally leaking classified information. Weren't people on the GOP calling for the head of the guy who leaked stuff to Wikileaks? Nevertheless, if the justice department didn't have warrants for those wiretaps, people should be prosecuted.

fact: GWB's gov't did the same exact shit, aiming IRS scrutiny against political opponents. does that make it right? of course not, it just makes the GOP hypocrites and the DNC idiots

fact: gov't spying on press is a direct consequence of post-9/11 patriot act bullshit begun by the bush administration and gleefully calcified by the obama administration. in other words, if you didn't expect this shit you're not paying attention
