tales from the hood oh fuck my house burned down.
Well just like the title says i had a bit of an incident. I was in the shower my dogs went nuts I came out to find my kitchen on fire.I said of fuck and grabbed my pants cell phone hollered at my hounds and busted out the fuckinback door. Happened wednesday but i havent had the chance to sit down and tell yall. My whole house is totally hit.
One cool thing the fire fighters new that my magic cards prolly meant something to me so they actually carried them out before pulling down the ceiling which i think was a seriously cool move.
Stayin with some friends I will try to hit yall with an update when i get a chance.

No way. That's awful man. Best wishes

Sorry to hear that, man. I think this is the universe's way of getting rid of ALL of your excuses against moving out of the ghetto, though. NO reason to stay now. Get the hell out of dodge and move somewhere sane.

Believe it or not cops outside of the hood are quite nice and helpful.

I find the opposite to be true myself.
I have no respect and have been mistreated by hall monitors with badges in my hometown (Fairhaven, Massachusetts)
I respect and have never been mistreated by New Bedford Police, ever. They have real issues and real problems to deal with. They're not powertripping faggots, and they don't waste their time busting my balls over inconsequential bullshit whereas the others, would.

Re: tales from the hood oh fuck my house burned down.
depends on the city
lincoln PD are pretty chill, but omaha PD just had four officers fired after mobile phone footage showed them unnecessarily beating the asses of some dudes who had beef over a parking ticket (two of those four are being criminally charged)

Walking home from work at 5am (with my name on the back of my patrol cap and my pack)
Stopped, asked to open my pack.(which I refused out of principle, of course)
Not only was I stopped, they called for back up. There were 6 officers, 3 cruisers, there to question me walking home from work. This was the heaviest response. I quite literally get stopped twice a week on my way home from work and have to deal with these incompetent hall monitors.

Sorry for your property losses, I'm glad no one was seriously injured.

No. I have my name literally visible in every direction.

i'm sure your attitude has zero to do with it.
also maybe consider getting a car so you aren't walking around like a creeper, drawing suspicion.

Re: tales from the hood oh fuck my house burned down.
I sold my car. We don't need two.
I'm not going to drive 2 miles to work. That's for lazy fat people.
This still has nothing to do with small town hall monitors generally being useless and larger city police having a real job to do.

a bike maybe?
at any rate, your attitude obviously sucks and the hostility undoubtedly emanates off you in waves. a little bit of niceness and respect can go a long way, even if you don't actually feel that way. /shrug

The very last thing I want to deal with at the end of a 14 hour day is someone with a badge thinking they're important. (In a small town, they are not, at all.)
So excuse me if I'm annoyed when I'm stopped by the same two mongoloids twice a week on my way home from doing real work. (Not driving around in a small town leeching my taxes doing nothing.)

Ever hear the phrase "choose your battles"? Maybe if you were a little less obstinate the first time you wouldn't be annoyed by these 2 guys every time thereafter. It probably started as doing their jobs and turned into them just fucking with you because they know it pisses you off.
Why not try to level with them without being a dick and if they keep harassing you file a report with their badge numbers? Even if it could have been prevented by you being less of a dick what they are doing could be seen as harassment. Explain your work, where you're coming from and how often you follow the same routine.
