got this for my ipad and i gotta say it's really nice. shitload of random improvements, all aspects of bg2 were implemented (dual wield) new characters in the world, new cutscenes, and it's on all platforms except android. $9.99

I might fork over the money for BG2, but wasn't as big a fan of this one.

I've tried to play this and it's just so painfully clunky still.

I think as far back I can go is Fallout and anything before that is just too much for me now. (Xcom too...)

its slow moving for sure. they cleaned up a lot of code and it's a lot smoother for this release. i liked bg1 because all the random areas and insane shit you could find. i liked the mechanics and story of bg2. so it's nice now to be able to play monks and wild mages in bg1

i think it was the first pc game i ever bought. and rebel assault 2

I've almost played through once so far. Kind of tough on some things where you have to tap precise locations but overall awesomesauce.

Bummer is they hit a snag with licensing or something on the BG2 release for iPad. Hopefully resolved soon as I'll definitely be purchasing.

I stand corrected. I went to the page yesterday and looks like it's being released on November 15. It would be awesome if you could buy it for PC but would also have a way to let you download it to ipad as well instead of having to buy it in both places.
