Been packing and craigslisting for the past couple of weeks. 11 more days and I'll be in Seattle. Found a nice house in Lynnwood and my offices will be in Bellevue and Seattle.

I got a good job offer that I couldn't turn down. I have a few good friends up there. I feel kinda bad about this, but it's also away from her parents. I can't stand them. Despite buying a house, cars, taking care of our kids and cherishing their daughter and treating their family with the utmost respect, I'm not good enough for them because I'm not Italian or Sicilian. It's nice to see them in doses but whenever we get in an argument and she's upset, her mom always defaults to the, if only he were a Sicilian man he'd understand how to treat his woman.

In case you guys ever wonder why I'm a little more active in the racially charged threads on NT this is partially why.

Anyone live in Illinois? Reason I ask is I am seriously debating shutting the doors for good here because the industry is so miserable and has nothing in the future for me as I can see now. And I can go out there and go underground again on a longwall miner and make 35 an hour easily. Minus the stress of having people Im totally responsible for. I would be in the Carlinville area I think

Most of IL is corn field as far as the eye can see so unless you're referring to Chicago I don't know what to expect in IL

dumb question, she's going with you tho, right?!?

on a side note, I know a few folks in the seattle area too, and my brother visits there every year and loves it

Haha that's actually not a dumb question considering how bad it was while she was working. She's doing the stay at home mom thing and loving it and yes she's going :P

Illinois coal is in high demand overseas actually. Not as clean as WV we have here, but our EPA and MSHA and UMWA have so much godamn power, (thanks Obama btw, you said youd phase us out quick and you did) that you cant get anything done here for a decent mine cost, therefore mines are shutting down left and right.

My big problem is Im owed over a mil by a company that is based in the fucking godamn UKRAINE. No money coming out of there or coal going out of here for a while. They are my biggest customer and their on 30 days terms with me, and they are past 150 days on payment. I cant go on cash flow like that, so Im saying fuck it and shutting it down, this shit aint worth the headache anymore and our coal here is done for. So fuck it

And where I would be going is central and southern IL. Corn field world. Youll be driving around and all of the sudden there will be a giant prep plant in the middle of no where. The mine id work is the most productive mine in the entire country for underground, big longwall. So the money would be great.

WV is also last place on that chart you showed me the other Alex. The one that showed best place to live and shit. Its pretty sad around here right about now

Whats even worse, is that when a job opens up here, I cant even find anyone TO work because they can make more off their stupid ridiculous fucking CHECKS

No, biodiesel profitability was too low due to transportation costs. Has it really been that long since I've been around here?

yes, yes it has kid, its been a long time.

And its a definite now Alex. Im going to IL in a week or two. Whats Marion, IL from you and Leahhhhhh? its Southern right near southern illinois university. Thats where Ill be at. they are deveoping a second longwall mine and I want in at the bottom. Should make bank bank bank bank bank bank bank bank bank because they not only pay super well, but they bonus every week from how much they get done. Itll be 6 days a week 12 hour shifts, but still, good shit. I just worry about rocks falling on my head. They had a guy get killed a fe wmonths ago at the mine ill be at, just a freak roof fall accident.

But yeah I need a change. This area isnt good for me. Too much drugs and bad past. Need a new start, new people, new friends, and bigger deer to kill and eat

Good. About time you moved away from that area. I hope that job turns out to be everything you hope it is and you make serious bank.
At some point, I have a handful of people I need to go see out in Bowling Green, KY. When I get out that way, we're getting a beer.

man idk about detroit, i think the plan is basically des moines -> MPLS/STPL -> madison -> milwaukee -> chicago -> st. louis -> KCMO -> lawrence -> home

i don't see us getting east of chicago unless you can guarantee some serious dough
