I finally succumbed to hunger at nearly 5pm my second day here and sick of eating granola bars and crackers I brought with me lol

I'm just glad my son is having a blast.

We just budget all that into the trip before we go. Going to Disney then trying to be all cheap and frugal makes the experience worse than just dealing with it on your credit card bill when you get home.

Buy that balloon, buy that hot dog. go to flying fish on the boardwalk and get that $50 steak. Enjoy yourself!

I've been to Disney World probably 20x since I was a kid. I grew up there and my son has lived down there since 2004 so went several times with him. Last time was about 8yrs ago. No desire to ever go again.

I just had more fun taking a walk around these resorts and enjoying the weather than I did all day at Magic Kingdom.

The Lion King section of the resort at night is really cool lol

I think I'd rather just come to Florida and stay near a beach, parks, and fishing/hiking type stuff next time. This is more for my son and my girlfriend who love this shit. It just drains me.

My wife works there and we live literally 7 minutes from the parks so we are there all the time.

As much as I do love the "free" entertainment I get from it I do have to admit the crowds are getting out of hand lately. I'd think with a stronger dollar and being offseason for US tourists the parks would be more empty this time of year (before spring break anyway), but they're insane. I get that MK is going to be crazy almost every day, but even the other parks like Studios and Animal Kingdom have been super busy.

Epcot is never really too busy unless you're looking to go on rides in which there's only 2 or 3 there so they're all 60 minute waits if you didn't fastpass ahead of time.

I feel bad for the people that we see that just grind at it and go all day. Everyone's pissed by 6pm, kids are crying and cranky. Mom and dad yelling at each other "WE'RE GONNA HAVE FUN DAMMIT!". Good times.

Some of the best stuff is just walking around though. Go to the Boardwalk area and just walk that loop around the lake. Pop in Beaches and Cream at the Beach Resort and grab an ice cream cone and people watch. Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs) is turning into a fantastic area now that they're spreading the foot traffic out some with additional walkways. Go catch a movie at the dine in theater.

We actually prefer DIsneyLand in California to Orlando since everything is compacted into 2 parks and everything is walking distance but it's probably just a grass is greener phenomenon. Can't wait for the Shanghai park to get finished so we can take a 2 week vacation to China/Tokyo and hit the 3 parks there.
