Looking forward to it.

It's like Monty Python really. Back then it was funny due to the slapstick stuff and obvious jokes. Now that I comprehend more I'm sure it will be funny on that level plus the social issue level.

I didn't find any of those strips funny at all. It's like the edgy humor of 40 years ago.

Bloom County was a staple of growing up in the 80s, and especially laughing at Bill the Cat when everything Garfield was everywhere, and his pretty fair comic insight.

The two comic strips I loved were Calvin and Hobbes and Bloom County. That said, I didn't get as much from Outland.

Bloom County is the greatest comic strip in the history of time.

Calvin & Hobbes is #2.

The Far Side is probably #3.

I'll agree that Outland didn't grab me as much as Bloom County did.

Garfield was cute, but in the 80s when I was growing up he was fucking everywhere. An anti-garfield comic strip was 'cool' in that time as a kid. Yeah, I had a Bill the Cat shirt.

I love the Far Side, but apples and oranges. Dilbert sort of encapsulates my later years. In the 80s Bloom County was my favorite strip though.

I do agree nothing is or was as good as Calvin & Hobbes. Even today all those strips are amazing.

Watterson had a friendly feud with Breathed, who he thought was a bit of a sellout for his 'powerboating' habit.
