main thing that keeps running through my mind today is that republicans will have no one left to blame once the country falls apart
they have the executive branch (christ, all those vultures on the cabinet!) and they have the house. they have the senate too, and although they don't have a filibuster-proof majority i fully expect them to change that rule so it won't matter anymore. the scotus will probably go back to being slightly conservative, with an occasional swing from kennedy. not sure the Notorious RBG is gonna be able to hold on through 2020 though ;\
meanwhile, thousands of americans will die from lack of access to health care and the planet will continue to fry. it's not much consolation, but at least there won't be any question as to who'll get the blame. you wanted dems out of the way, well, you got your wish - but that means everything that happens is on you now
