I'm looking at being displaced for 3-6 months so I moved back into my house with my ex wife and the kids lol. Oddly enough, things are going great. We had a plan to move back in together and focus on our relationship when the kids were gonna be gone for the summer with gramps but I guess now is as good a time as any lol.

If I remember correctly, you found out about him and your ex besty but chose to keep quiet about it for a moment to tie up some other issues or something? How'd that all go down that led to him moving out? Did you tell him you found out?

well, since we were splitting up regardless he would've eventually moved out no matter what. but yes, as a matter of fact, i did end up confronting him! one night he just kept needling me about how i always seem so mad at him and finally i'm like OK YES I AM MAD AT YOU DO YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW WHY and he did... so i told him i had read their messages and knew he'd been fucking around on me for a very long time and what did he have to say for himself? and rather than own up to it or apologize or at least seem ashamed, he instead got super pissed at me for violating his privacy (something i had owned up to and apologized for WHILE CONFRONTING HIM) and refused to ever acknowledge or talk about said bestie situation, even to this day. all this went down on like february 3, and here we are about to begin may and he still hasn't owned up to a thing. super mature.
fun side note: apparently he called one of our mutual good friends this week to yell at him for talking to me about our situation and for telling me that josh was emotionally abusive. guess how he knew about this conversation? HE READ MY SLACK MESSAGES WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. fucking hypocrite.
despite all this, i remain resolute in my decision to try to keep things as peaceful and civil as possible because i don't want to alienate or lose our mutual friends. plus despite all reason, i do still love him very much even though i would like to remove his genitals with a rusty spoon.

Jay wrote:Nothing as bad as what you went through happened between me and my wife but I understand the feeling of loving someone despite the hell they are putting you through. The pro and con list will make it perfectly reasonable for you to hate them but there is still a part of that person you fell in love with in there somewhere and it sucks to let that go no matter what they did. I do think that you're handling your situation a lot more maturely than I did. You're gonna be just fine and happy again sooner rather than later because of how you are handling things.

I sold my 14 Charger SXT and got a 15 Outback 3.6r. The nicer one with the v6. It's nowhere near that HP, just 256 / 247lb stock. But I want the flat 6 boxer-style engine because I plan to offroad with it and partially submerge it if I have to and that affords me a little more clearance. And X-Mode/hill descent combo sold me. It can offroad like a Raptor. Gonna see what options I have but imagine will start with CAI, different exhaust, a slight lift, and a chip if I can. I wanted to do all that (minus the lift) with the Charger but I just wasn't in love with it enough to do it. The Outback is loaded like our 16 Lexus RX350 tho and has all the same features from perforated leather to crosstraffic backup alerts. only thing it lacks is radar cruise control. It even came with a badass tow hitch the previous owner put on it. Can't wait to juice it up

Drem wrote:Good points. Exhaust is gonna be first. And off-road tires. It came with a Toyo touring set. All I can hear in this car is the engine. The exhaust has resonators just like the Charger did, damped to all hell. It has no exhaust note at all really. The engine sounds fun tho. Sounds like a rally car but without exhaust, which sucks. The Charger V6 VVT was whiny
It's got a little pep for what it is and paddle shifters make winding mountain roads really fun so far, but it's still a CVT at the end of the day. And honestly I'm always stuck behind someone going 10mph below the limit anyway (especially on those mountain roads) so who cares. It's really almost exactly like the RX350 but you sit lower to the ground even tho clearance is the same. Great car for the fam/my hobbies as I feel bad when I get the Lex dirty

One of my best friends died a couple weeks ago. One of the types of best friends you've had since 7th grade and a member of the family sort. Very close to the entire family, all the brothers, sisters, cousins, grandparents, everyone. It's been almost as rough as losing my own brother. (Honestly feels the exact same)
I got a massive ear infection about the same time he died (wtf?) and I've been deaf in my right ear since. Just a massive annoyance that's worrying me because I'm done with the antibiotics.
My ex and I have been...doing well. I feel like I'm setting myself up for failure again, though. She's exhibiting signs of always looking for the exit. We've been sleeping together, hanging out, not fighting, and things have been really great. I don't know why she insists on ruining this. "Trying to take it day by day" coupled with, "we have problems that are still problems blah blah blah" is trying my patience and sanity. After all, she's the one who fucking cheated on me, and I'm the one who's being accepting of that and willing to push forward.
rant over, just trying to get my life back together still and it's been utter shit almost nonstop
