Browser acting oddly

Postby Langston » Wed Mar 24, 2004 4:30 pm

So since sometime this morning I've had a problem where my browser isn't updating websites automatically any more.

Example:

I click on Current Affairs - it shows me 5 topics have new posts... I click on the last page number link for a thread to see the latest responses... I see the thread as it was the last time I read it... I have to manually hit F5 to refresh the contents.

Now, I'm not a web developer or a coder of any type... but doesn't that have to do with the TTL (time to live) for web documents? Is there a setting client side that I could have dicked up somehow? If so, how do I fix it?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

From work or home?

If work, they may have a web cache server installed.

At home - but I figured it out...

I have a piece of software that I have to change the date/time on my computer to use... *whistles innocently*.

Forgot to set the date back and it was causing wierd shit to happen.
