EQ2 question

I don't know if this has been discussed here, and no I'm not going to scroll though pages and pages to look, so screw you...

But, I heard that we'll be able to transfer our char names from EQ1 to EQ2 (not the actual char - just the name)... is this true?

That would be delightful. As I will definatly want to start another level 1 erudite named Ginzownslyion.

If that is what they plan on doing, what happens to the guy that already has that name? (in that event etc)

Also, what about same names different servers?

Who gets to pick?

No, just name it something original like 'Ginzburgh'. That's definitely not realted to anything.

Or we can take variations of Vipsindsyg...

I have heard nothing about keeping character names from EQ1. Maybe last names, but what I have heard of is a lineage feature where you are able to pass down an heirloom from your previous character. Now what I think that means is you may be able to pass down an item from one of your previous charcters to your new EQ2 charcter, ie and epic weapon or something. But again I am not completely sure about that even.

yeah, you can pass down a weapon or something but it's unusable. You can hang it on the wall of your house tho.
