Yahoo games EQ2 preview and exclusive download

Post by Martrae »

Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.

Nice! Thanks for the link.

I still don't think EQ2 will be released before summer 05.

I can't help but think the cha graphics and landscapes are going to end up exactly like Star Wars Galaxies.

Baron wastelands of nothingness and running for miles.

You know, Planetside was the perfect damn size. I hope they learned from that.

PS, I don't know if I can ever play another MMPORPG again. Just looking at the screenshots of WoW and EQ2, I only think about going LFG and fighting with my girlfriend and friends about the amount of time I played that shit. Time will tell I suppose.

Organization and time budgeting. My DAOC time rocked simply because I had a set group and set times I levelled. Too bad the game was mediocre.

The only way I'll do an MMO nowadays is if I have a set amount of time, good group of fellow players, and an organized schedule of things to do.

2-4 nights a week, 4-5 hours. One day on the weekends, long session. Nice team of 10-15 friends without any attention, loot, or drama whores.

I like the 'small raid' concepts, and I think WOW could deliver if Vivendi doesn't rush their product out the door.

I agree 100%, but that was the whole premise of RedEyeExpress. Sadly, it didn't last. MMPORPGs just create drama due to the anonymous internet platform.

I just don't see something like that working, at least not without knowing everyone in RL.

It worked great for me in DAOC, and I only knew one of the ten people in real life. The trick is if somebody's a bastard/bitch then that person has to go ASAP.

I'm going to try and get this setup for WOW, and I'm hoping I can get a dozen or so people from DAOC and EQ.

Fuck, wish I had 4-5 hours, 4 nights a week to dedicate to any game. Will probably end up playing EQ II for about 1-2 hours max a night, being an endless newbie.

Thats just during the levelling curb. Once ya max levels, ya drop down to 2-3 nights, a few hours, and maybe one day on the weekends.

I havent gamed hard since DAOC, in 2002, so I'm just theorizing here.

True. Hopefully it'll come out when I have more time in my schedule. Getting very enthused about the game lately.
