A couple of things...
1. WTG getting my thread locked! That baby had the potential to surpass the ES bp thread but y'all had to go and ruin it! =*c (
2. It's quite clear I have no fondness for Azlana. That being said, I don't think her avatar is violating the decency rules for a couple of reasons.
First, while it is a bit sexy, it's not a real life depiction of two women nor is it really graphic in nature. It suggests far more than it shows.
Secondly, it's from a 50s or 60s(pretty sure it's not 40s material) steamy 'romance' novel. There were a wide variety of these published then. This cover is sorta tamed compared to quite a few others that were on the market. And it really doesn't compare to a lot of comic book covers from the 40s which were marketed towards kids. These depicted scantily clad women being subjected to bondage and torture, more often than not, from Nazis.
So I would consider it a sexy but historical avatar does stay within the rules mainly due to the time period it came from.
3. I brought Toucher into it because back when he was running his version of TN, he often would visit and flame various posters.
One day I flamed one of his responses. It wasn't harsh as I recall, but over and over he kept asking if I wanted to be banned since I dared to attack him, the ungrateful whelp I am. This of course resulted in a much larger squabble between us.
He never did ban me despite the threats, but I did stop posting there since I have little patience for hypocrites. Even those who run message boards.
Now, I've picked on Vonk from time to time. Mostly it's been pretty mild stuff and none of it done in anger. Maybe he's steaming away in silence, cursing me under his breath everytime he logs on here. But I don't think so.
More than likely he takes it the way it should be taken: with a chuckle.
4. I have another PM! I haven't opened it yet so I'm not sure who it's from. I figure it has to be either from one of my fellow Trilateral Commision buddies offering support in these dark days or from Vonkite mod threatening me with a ban!
Should I post it's content here assuming it is bad news? Or respect the sender's desire to remain anon, something I didn't do last time?
