ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory error

is all I get when I try to install the FarCry 1.2 patch. Does anyone have any idea what this means?

I was curious about this too, I get the same message when I try to start a game from the exe. on a CD, but not from the installed exe.
What the hell is goin on?

In my case it was corrupted file. I wonder if you'd have the problem if you installed the exe.
