Fable

Post by Thon »

was checking prices on gamestop and it caught my eye, RPG made by peter molyneux. checked out some of the previews on IGN, the game sounds incredible.

seems like a good/evil concept similar to black & white's plugged into a morrowind-esque rpg, except that you can decapitate somebody and practice kicking field goals with their head.

molyneux has had his hand in making some bad ass games in the past, their's a good 12 page(small pages) preview at IGN that's worth checking out

The pessimist in me keeps waiting for this to be cancelled, like every other decent MS game in the last year.

it's supposed to be in stores september 14th, so less than a month. i doubt they'll push it back this close to its supposed release, but i don't think it's officially 'gold' yet.

i hate getting excited about a game before release, it's like the night before christmas as a kid, except drawn out for months

Looking forward to Fable. Wish it had come out this June like it was supposed to before they pushed it back yet again.

i won't be pre-ordering it, moo3 taught me that

my wallet is going to be taking a severe beating though. the next few months = rome total war, the new gta, and Pirates. the reviews on fable are going to have to be semi-worship for it to delay my getting any of those games

Thanks for bringing up that pain.. Especially when you take into account how fucking amazing and cool moo2 was.

Good point, I'll wait and see.

I too was super pissed about Moo3.

Moo2 was one of those games like Heroes of might and magic2 and Civ(all of em) that you just played non stop over and over. Moo3 fucked it up...

BTW Psilons kicked ass :)

BTW Psilons kicked ass

in about 90% of the games i played, if i didn't wipe the Sakkra out early, they had a good chance of kicking my ass

Did you play Dragonforce or Iron Storm on the Saturn? Turn based, strategy perfection.

I never owned a Saturn =/. I've written way too many posts on my love for x-Com, Civ and MOO... Those are pretty much my main loves.

Although, this thread has me playing HoM&M2 right now =p.
