Console RPG's

Post by Forik »

Anyone know anything good coming out for Playstation? I am looking forward to Final Fantasy 12(the graphics look simply amazing) but other than that I am kind of clueless. Any other titles out there worth checking out? I am oldschool and enjoy turned based FF style, but I am open to new ideas. I enjoyed Tales of Destiny on the original playstation, and I am a major fan of everything ported from the SNES to playstation and so on. I am looking for some good titles to take up some time at school when I don't have much to do, and I don't feel like playing EQ again!

P.S. SNES rpgs were the best, wtb more games like FF2(4j) and Ogre Battle!

Have you ever played kings field? That game was a lot of fun to be so simple. (Not exactly final fantasy material but fun nevertheless)

Star Ocean should be good and if you like turn-based strategy RPG's you HAVE to check out Disgaea although it may be hard to find.

Xenosaga vol. 2 should be out in Feb.

I played a lot of them back during my freshman year of college. Pretty much as they came out, either I bought them or my roomate did. I'd probably say my favorite was Final Fantasy Tactics and his was Thousand Arms(the whole dating subgame was hilarious, I concede).

Yeah.

Other than those two for the PS, I'd say that Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64 was probably the most innovative and fun game in it's time.

Kings Field 1&2 kicked some serious ass.

We need more MMORPGS with that style of play.
How do you like this spoiler, motherfucker? -Lyion
