Trying to burn a copy of the first Doom 3 disk. Seriously, it's not for anything "devious" I just don't having to use original disks like that - that's how they get damaged eventually. So, I figured I would just copy the files onto a blank CD, but it's not working. I tried two different buring programs. Obviously, they have some stupid fucking anti-buring file on the disk.

Isn't there a way to create a "fake" CD ROM on your HD and trick the game into thinking it's the actual disk?

Or, does anyone know how to burn this freaking disk. I didn't pay 60 bucks for a damn game only to have to rebuy in the event the one and only disk needed to play with some how gets damaged.

This is gonna sound stupid but have you named the cd the same name as the original?

I beat the system one time by having to do that. For a legal purpose of course.

dont be a tool and use kazaa.

http://www.gamecopyworld.com

is much better.

And use alcohol 120% to rip it with the correct protection emulation. And then you can run it off of your HD, or burn it.
How do you like this spoiler, motherfucker? -Lyion
