Anyone remeber the epic2 stuff that was bandied about ages ago? I kinda liked the quest for my epic, after i'd done the fugging thing.

Shammie epic sucks ass now. The bits i grabbed 3+ groups for, and it was tough, can be done with a shammie and a pally. Woe to mudflation~

Warrior epic was a joke when it was made, so that is not really a surprise is it? I mean, better stuff dropped in OS for the longest time...

that axe still sucks, anyone who has the drive to make a 65 berserker by this point most likely is already in a elemental+ guild and has access to better 2h's

I don't see the big deal. It's not Old World/Kunark only is it? And aside from that noone bitched when the bst epic came out, so I don't know why you're crying now. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that beastlords aren't useless... but that's another discussion all together.

The 40% haste and damage/delay is what puts it over the top for epics. Without that it would be on par with Pal/SK epics as far as 2h's go. As a paladin i knew my epic sucked major ass when Luclin was released so i never bothered finishing.

PS: i always felt like epics should've been "upgraded" as expansions came out, when droppable shit came out that was easily comparable to them but thats just me.

Yup, I think it's too good as well, but ultimately care less about the "imbalance" of this compared to my pally alt's Fiery Defender. Hell, it's even better than her 2-hander from AL...but I understand mudflation is inevitable, and exists even with epics. If anything Berserkers need a good epic like this to compensate for their massive suckage as a class, and no, I'm not just jumping on the "Berserkers suck!!!" bandwagon. I've grouped with a level 61 and their dps is like a Shadowknight without any spells. Very disappointing.

I think a 44/38 125hp without the haste, venge8 and AC would have been ok and still made berserkers happy, but ahh...what can you do?

...and I hope you meant the encounters, in turn, would be upgraded as well. I figure if we're comparing epics to Kunark standards vs. GoD standards today, you'd be looking at 225hp/mana Res-sticks...with Ragefire being as difficult as FRO or harder, yes?

no melee has any leg to stand on as far as crying about epics is concerned

the mage epic was almost required because it made the mage so much better. mostly because the 50-60 pets were all jokes. the only epic that was 'better' was the rez stick on raids

mages got no new pets for 3 expansions. imagine using a SSOY into luclin. hell we didn't really get a nuke upgrade untill PoP either, in luclin we were givin a DD with slightly less dmg than our kunark bolt.

It's a very nice epic, but I think it's the combo of the great ratio with the haste and atk, not the haste and atk alone. Rangers and rogues at least get 40 percent haste and atk bonus with epic. I'm not sure about other melee classes.

Yeh. That epic is a load of crap. It doesn't matter if it came out on a new expansions, because it doesn't make up for the fact that other classes can't do a quest to get something that is even close to the power that the weapon has. Not only does it have a combat proc, but it also has haste on it? I mean, c'mon, that's a load of shit. And apart from it's power, it probably looks about 10000 times better then the other weapon graphics. It wouldn't be that hard to change the stats of the epic weapons for everyone, so I think they should do it.

I think you're missing the entire point

even though it is vastly better than other 1h epics, it still sucks ass compared to any decent PoP or GoD 2h

No SK or Pal worth their salt uses their epic, and neither will any berzerker

so the reality is that it will still be vastly underpowered, just not as vastly underpowered as other epics

not everyone has the time to join a guild thats going into the high tier planes, or plane of time. thats really a nice weapon for your casual or even semi-active player.
