I was confirming for the unbelievers.
Inside each person lives two wolves. One is loyal, kind, respectful, humble and open to the mystery of life. The other is greedy, jealous, hateful, afraid and blind to the wonders of life. They are in battle for your spirit. The one who wins is the one you feed.
its like leveling up in EQ1 now so in my oppinion too damn easy. i kind of miss the old days where it took 3 months of hardcore leveling to get 50
if your not level 6 inside of 2 hours your doing something wrong.
qeynos is absolutly gorgeous and freeport has the whole evil thing down pat. the cities are absolutly fricken huge and you can spend hours just poking around
unfortunatly i havnt explored much other then the cities and the first zones but so far i like it they just need to tone down the xp a bit. too much too fast
People were complaining about the level grind, so they bumped up the exp modifiers a bit, but its still not "fast". Far from it, I think.
I would put it on par with EQ when it was first released, maybe slower.
Its all still being tweaked.
I havent been playing for the past week 'cause of the gay fucking hurricane that killed my power and cable at home, but last week there still wasnt anyone above level 30 and the server had been live for about 2 months.
I'll spill some beans when I get power on at home.

All the ubergamer no life fuckers are in WOW. That in itself might be the best selling point of EQ2.

I've played both WoW and EQ2 and it's not even close.
I'm guessing since WoW is closer to release a lot of the lag and other crappiness issues will get resolved with EQ2 but right now WoW is hands down far and away a better game.
so far my little high elf fighter is level 12, on her way to being a qeynosian suxmonk. i never play tank types but since i didnt want to be qeynos or a tank i decided to have on here since she will be whiped anyway. so far this game has everything i loved about ffxi and none of the things i hated about it.
lots more to do then kill crabs for 20 levels, the quests are your standard rpg fair of fedex and kill tasks with some variation on what you have to actually do. some of the npcs in qeynos salute me now which is really kind of weird and cool .
i already pre-ordered the game so yeah im going to be here and not WOW. i want to play both but the fact that WOW will be populated by annoying b-net people is kinda making me want to shy away from it.
Still downloading the damn thing. It keeps on telling me that it's..finished downloading yet when I click play..it'll crash. So upon rebooting up the patcher, lo and behold..another 500mb to download.
Yep Im totally sold on EQII over WoW. No doubt. Graphics alone are so much better its ridiculous. Emmy award winner composing soundtrack. 200 voice actors for NPC voices. Water effects done by people that worked on Titanic water (awesome water). Can get real xp through questing, not just camping crabs and shit. Solo content to 50 if you wish. Completely redone downtime theory. Regen all health and power in a minute and a half. Archetype system looks much easier to balance and ensures every class has group desireability. Many more race and class options than WoW. Just too many great things about EQII to list them all.
