Best new spots to level 45-60

LDON is not good exp compared to what you can get in PoP.

46-50 - PoI - do yard trash from the IZ outward
51-55 - PoN - do the banshees/wraiths
56-61 - PoD - castle
62+ - PoV - caves
65 for AA - BoT/HoH

I should've posted I have access to a 65 Druid and 65 Cleric to help me level, so its a matter of finding good spots.

Questions:

Can you solo in LDON or is it group only?

Is there single pull spots in the planes?

Would it be wiser to group 50+ or are pickup groups still ass?

In order to spawn an LDoN, all the characters in group need to be within 8 lvls of each other. It's been forever since I PL'd a character but if I remember correctly, I was getting a lvl about every 20-30 minutes in SolB using just a druid to keep Kutt alive. I pulled the entire windows, bats area and made mad XP. XP dropped off at 45-6 though and I took him to HS after that. So easy to clean up there.

Good XP in the PoP zones but the mobs hit twice as hard at least as the ones in the old content.

Get your rogue PoV flagged. Get a group in PoV. Stay there till 62. Got to BoT. Stay there till 65. Game over man, game over!

If you are just looking for a decent spot to PL yourself from 43 up......might wanna consider CoM till around 47 or so......I've PL'd my fiance's warrior there since 40 and the xp is awesome.......33% bonus there.....plus you can group with the druid and still get xp so you can just auto follow with the rogue, kill stuff with the druid and get major xp.....could probably stay till 50 if you move up to the tower and the skywalk, they are still yellow and red to Laanden at 47

We got a rogue from 1 to 65 in 2 weeks or so without much trouble. 7 - 24 In paludal. 24 - 45 SolA Gnomes. The hole from 45 to 50ish. Then we did PoV and Droga from 50 to 63. PoV for exp, Droga because it wasn't as boring as PoV. Then BoT to 65.

Thanks a lot for the info. I'll give the Hole and COM a shot, and read up on some info regarding the new planes. I've never been to PoV, PoJ, BoT <and honestly don't have a clue where they are >

Once I get a bit higher, I'll hopefully try and find some decent groups in the new planes and see if a guild is raiding during a time that works for me.

Get normal groups... exp like people used to... and learn the fucking game instead of plaguing some unsuspecting guild with your ineptitude and constant "how do i get 2 teh plain of nitemares?" questions....

I'm very familiar with EQ. I have a shitload of hours logged in raids and in groups in EQ. The thing is, I haven't played with the latest expansions, and so I'm not familiar with the NEWER zones.

This is the second rogue I'm levelling. My original is gone, but my first made 60 probably before 99.9% of the people here. I'd like to say I know the class since I was one of the first to hit 60.

The concepts behind EQ are pretty similar, and I have grouped some since returning.

I was hardcore raiding pretty early, and quite often.

I was in a few decent guilds on Nameless, and I played 6 months in Blades of Wrath on Torv, prior to quitting. I have levelled a Rogue, Cleric, and Shaman to 60 years ago.

Anyways, a lot of people remember me, but I quit playing a while back to check out DAOC and other games.

While I may suck I'm not a n00b and I'd bet I have more EQ grouptime than many here, even with the few years off.

I don't remember you Xaasf, from when I quit, and I knew a shitload of people on Nameless. I think a few probably still remember me.

I was logging 12 hour days in EQ, which is a big reason why I quit.. Mostly raiding, but also doing a lot of single group things.

You have taken a "few years off" which means anything you USED to think you know doesn't pertain any more unless you were the type to hit "A" and walk away - which still works for 80% of the people in BoT (hence my comment).

You self admitedly haven't played the last "several" expansions - which, judging by the comments you've made means you really haven't played since Kunark... maybe Velious.

The game is vastly different now. Congratz you being good 3 years ago... that means shit now. You don't know crap about AA or the new melee skills. You don't know the zones... you just want to be PLed to 60 (where 65 is the cap now by the way) and expect people to give you the information to best make this as simple as possible. You plan on heading to the Hole and CoM... which by itself tells me how out of touch you are.

Just because I "won" Diablo2 3 years ago doesn't mean I know shit about the game today - yeah the controls are the same but the game is vastly different.

Respect the current gamers and educate yourself in more than "how do I get l33t fast!?!?".

The underlying game has not changed, merely expanded slightly. I pretty much understand the AA system, after chatting, reading, and learning.
