Woah... everquest has haxored my keyboard.. help

I have a microsoft natural keyboard with all the spiffy buttons and controls for windows media player etc...

Well anytime i play EQ after awhile my keyboard gets disabled... direction keys, keys 1-0 which are attached to my hotkeys etc...

i can still mouselook, and click the hotkeys with the mouse, or click into the chat window, and THEN type with the keyboard... but other than that im fuxt.

The same keyboard works flawlessly with any other program..

So can anyone help? I am possibly hitting some combination of keys that disables the keyboard?

This problem makes me want to go insane.

If you use Num Lock for autorun that can cause it, so I never used Num Lock and never had the problem again.

Yes numlock will screw up your keypad on the right, I've always used the toprow nums for my hotkeys however. I constantly use numlock for autorun, unless I have a /tell or something I can send in which case I start running and hit the / key and I keep running.

Also do you hold the shift key down for a long period of time or hit it in rappid succession? Sometimes I think windows activates the 'retardo-helper' for the shift button and people with problems using it.

hmmm... yah its something to do with the keys on the far left of the keyboard... I'm hitting some weird key combination that probably causes windows XP to summon RETARDED ghosts that haunt my everquest game. I'm quite sure of it. Next time it happens I think my only course of action is to hit the computer with my proton accelerator.
