Need some info on guilds

Postby Jennay » Sun Mar 28, 2004 11:04 am

I'm researching this for my husband and I. We're both wanting to raid and do some flags to become Elemental and maybe more. We're not "hard" core raiders but are tired of the casual thing.

We're looking for a 60+ preferribly 65ish lvl guild who is currently working on becoming Elemental or possibly backtracking. I'm needing AD, Carpin Cycle, Bertoxx, TerrisThule...that sorta thing right now is what I'm interested in raiding. He's killed TT but is in the same boat as me.

We're both 65, fully epic, and working on our AA's. He's a 65 ranger with about 122 AA's and I'm a 65 bard with about 60 so far (yea I know  ) I would need to work on mine. He just completed his VP key if that means anything. Neither of us have VT or Emp keys but that can be something to work on too.

So with that info, what sort of guilds are in that phase we're looking for?

And no not joining Nameless Love :P

Currently FoF is working on Vex Thal and would be moving into pop....oh i'd say another 2 months or so. Decade is an option, they'd have to bagflag tho, (everyone does), umm, bod is working on flagging. Ascentia is working on it. Sapientia is in EP's, i think they have almost every class closed tho. Ps, Ascentia's AA req's are the same (or close to) TFS's, which are pretty high so i'm not sure. Would have to check them out. TFS reqruits 65 players, no flag requirements. So check them out too.

I dont think " /auc WTB guildtag and EP asap access " on a messageboard is exceptionel stylish Hope...

You have no friends ingame that can point you in one or another way ? Why dont you use your own judgement and gather a little intel. You must > casual since you want to escalate your game....then I assume you must group with people you think are people you would like to be around ....get my drift ?

You dont even state why you want a guild...just that you need more flags..... is that all...?

I know you as a decent player ingame...but this post is unsuitable for you.

To help you on your seach..a few post over this post you could have found a pretty present standing of the guilds on the nameless....reading comphrehension owns....

I dont see this post as a WTB guild type of post.

We're both wanting to raid and do some flags to become Elemental and maybe more.

seems like a reason to want a guild to me.

talk to members of different guilds in game. talk with thier recruiters, to see if 1) they are indeed recruiting and 2) what requirements are needed. group with those guild to get to know them and maybe see if you can raid as a guest.

Ya, sounded like she just wanted a descent list of guilds who fit the criteria, and then start checking them out.

Damn you guys take things so seriously.

The chick wants to raid, and by raid I don't mean OS. She wants to raid but doesn't want to be REQUIRED to raid every time she's on.

We need a couple bards that login but we raid late - 9pm EST-2am+. Most of our members are MST or PST although we do have our share of EST and CST people who just don't sleep.

http://fate.100megs22.com/viewforum.php?f=2

We have perequisites for AAs for different classes and some classes are closed. We will allow a couple players of those closed classes in if they are exceptional players and people.

We are currently doing VT and the flagging mobs for elementals and hope to be there soon sporting some nice VT gear so we aren't in elementals forever. Contact Shade, Esitoinferi, Keiki, Biki, or Diemuzi in game for recruiting details.

I'm researching this for my husband and I.

And since I thought I had friends here in NT, I asked here. I didn't mean it as "Hey people recruit me!" because that would not be cool. I do want more in a guild than just flags and status, like friendship, meeting new people, seeing new things that you would think someone playing 5 yrs would have seen already. I didn't want to say anything like that cause I did't want it to sound like an open app. or cheesy.

Anyway, thanks all for the responses and PM's with ideas and links! That's what I needed !

*edit* wanted to add. I don't consider myself a really good bard but I don't ever really have to put LFG up. I love it :P

Is there such a thing as a relaxed high end raiding guild anymore?...

nope. bottom line is that raiding requires practice and commitment, and people either end up wanting to or not, rarely any inbetween. I was part of a guild that was part family & part raid and they take 5 x's longer to level than others and haven't even gotten around to farming shards for VT because everyone has their heads up their asses and if they want a real group, the 65's end up having to find others to group with....

relaxed raiding guilds are just feeders for better ones, hard for them to move up because most of the best players in them are either just using them for equipment so they can apply to a better guild, or they get frustrated with not progressing fast enough and leave, and apply to a better guild

its possible to move up slowly with a lot of casual players (look at BoD)but not exactly my idea of fun
