So the Beta server went down last night. I went over to the PVP server and messed around with a gnome mage that was made there. He was already level 9 and I'd never played a mage before so I logged in.

Woah...

Are mages as fun as I think they are?

I think I am changing my mind for release :P Screw the druid.

Would you recommend going mage on release? You have a warlock right? What does Taxx have?

Taxx has a rogue.

I loved my warlock until I got into my 30's. They really are underpowered. I am thinking of mages because they truly are a fun class. I also started playing a priest even though I swore I wouldn't and its okay. If I were to pick any other class, it would be shaman.

I guess I am the kind of person who likes to serve a purpose with my class, and as it stands warlocks have no purpose. I was doing crowd control and I can summon people from across the world, but I like the idea of healing and ressing.

The whole sheep thing makes mages worth it imo

haha yeah I couldn't believe that sheep thing. And as soon as I figured out what the spells did, I unloaded on a mob 3 levels higher than me, killed it in like 7seconds, it didn't even get within 10 feet of me and I looked at my mana bar and I was at like 90% mana. Its a far cry from pussy druid damage.

The nuke power with the sheep thing, the ability to port AND ! summon food and drink....crazy ~

Screw it, I am going mage. However I will continue to play my druid till the game goes gold. Then I will switch to mage and it will be like a whole new game.

Mage will be more powerful next patch with the spirit fix unless Blizz nerfs them again.
