So, I zone incredibly, incredibly slow in OoW....I'm using a Dell 1.8ghz 512ram and radeon 8500 (64mb i think?), and I just don't know what to do. Any suggestions?

You can get a 512 mb of ram for $100. Video card probably 150-200 for a decent one.

before jumping to too many hw updates...have you tried hijacking your system as well as removing spyware? What programs do you have running in the background?

I usually run WMP in the background, and occasionally AIM. I recently did a complete system wipe and reinstalled everything, in a desperate attempt to remove spyware....I'm running McAfee viruscan every 2-3 days, as well.

Also before you get your new vid card check to see what kind it is you need. AGP or PCI. I found out the hard way that most Dell computers some with an AGP vid card and the 3D device is built into it. If you get another vid card that is AGP make sure it has an onboard 3D device. Or get a PCI vid card and run your monitor off that after installing it.
