I don't hate WOW at all. I think its a great game.

My issue has been that Blizzard with their talent is using the conventional DPS/Level/Item game, albeit refined and very fun in traditional Blizzard fashion.

WOW is fun. Its the best MMO out right now. But it's not revolutionary, and it has limited classes which I don't like.

I prefer AD&D to Warcraft Universe, and so I'll check out EQ2, as its more my personal preference, but since I haven't played EQ2 it could completely suck.

Oh, the Bnet idiot dude crowd wore on me on the original server, too. Fresh servers are nice, and I'll super level my Paladin just to check out the endgame before WOW is released Xmas time.

Lyion you do realize that there will never be a game made for what you want? Actually there will be, and it'll be called A Tale in the Desert, and 3,000 people will subscribe to it.

I played A Tale in the Desert for 6 months, Taxx. Fun game, but not what I want.

What I want is SIMPLE, but the technology isn't there.

I want something based on AD&D like EQ but not static.

A dynamic, alive, changing world, with an assorted vibrant in depth class system without DPS, but dependent on real world effects.

And evolving faction with real world consequences.

Dragon Empires and Horizons were very promising, but folded.

Warhammer Online had a brilliant design doc, and was close to what I felt would be a perfect game.

It'll come out.. I might be dead, but it'll get here.

So do I. Reread my post.

I just want a dynamic game. Not a big single player world with 2000 people.

So you want endless "Sleeper's Tomb" type encounters?

Not at all.

Again, I just don't want a big single player static world.

I want a world similar to tabletop campagins, but massive and in depth with real factions.

No, I don't want NWN, I want it to be a large world with a lot of players, but I want real change. Not just exp and phat l00t.

Automation, Tikker. You can script things easily to have events and change.

Also, no MMO except SWG has a database team worth anything. A good database could make a living, breathing, vibrant world possible.

The problem is you have a minimum of work going into these things.. Max cash for minimum effort...

I'm sure something similar to what I'm proposing will be out within the next 10 years. I'll be 44, so not too old to play!
