If the Mavs were able to get to the Finals... which, isn't THAT inconceivable... I'd be quite happy =p.
I'd say... for the West, it'd look like...
Spurs - 1 in 4
Timberwolves - 1 in 6
Mavs - 1 in 8
Kings - 1 in 10
Houston - 1 in 12
Jazz - 1 in 15
Nuggets - 1 in 16
Lakers - 1 in 16

But then... once we are there, it would depend on who we face... I don't think that this Mavs team, even with GREAT chemistry, could beat Detroit. We could take Indiana and Miami under ideal circumstances... Anyone else would be a huge long-shot for making it... Milwaukee maybe... but we could take any of the others without a problem. Regardless, this is WAY wishful thinking... I'm definitely not going to make the same mistake I made last year in thinking too much of a 'paper' team. If we have great chemistry, we could go far... if not, we'll repeat.

Another funny bit... just read this on ESPN...
Frank Hughes - ESPN wrote:So I see that Sacramento Kings forward Chris Webber cleared up any confusion about who, exactly, he was ripping after the Kings got ousted from the second round of the playoffs.

Everybody thought it was Peja Stojakovic -- by the way, how do you get Peja out of Predrag? -- but it turns out Webber was just generalizing.

"I'm from the 'hood, and we used to love playing the local preparatory school because our lives in the inner city, economically, the drug dealers we saw, the people we saw getting murdered, gave us a toughness in life. One where we're living for other people and that no day is promised. Basketball is real serious to me," Webber told the Sacramento Bee.

Here's my issue: Guess where Webber went to high school?

Detroit Country Day.

No, not Detroit Urban Day. Not Detroit City Day. But Detroit Country Day.

His good buddy Jalen Rose went to Southwestern, which happens to be in the 'hood, but Webber himself went to Country Day, whose tuition is probably more than the gross national product of Guam. Sure, they likely paid Webber. After all, who didn't? Other than Vlade Divac, of course.

That's funny.

where someone goes to HS doesn't mean shit about where he is from. De La Salle is a private school in the bay area and gets people from all over CA to go there hoods or not.

I was born in the ghetto and i went to catholic private schools. That mean i wasn't born in the ghetto?

Whatever... Webb went to a freaking prep school and tried to sound like he was from the streets. What a poser. Detroit Country Day isn't a simple private school... it's a high-priced private accademy.
With or without Vince? He's pretty clear on his trade demands recently =/.
I'll root for the Raps with or without him. I'd like to say "get ride of the bum" but he is by far our best player and we cant get value for him right now so I guess I'm hoping for some bended fences and stuff.

Atleast Chris Bosh is all class, if that kid goes south like Carter then I'll be mad.

He's from Dallas too! His little brother is a senior this year... supposedly the coaches are saying that he's possibly even better than Chris. I think he's a 2 or 3.

New rumors have Vince going to New Orleans for Baron Davis... or Minnesota for Zerbs / Kandi. Either trade would probably make a better team for ya'll... especially Davis. PG has been your primary weakness forever.
