Trade Skill items thread
I thought about this last night...
Who knows how many items I've sold to vendors that one of you could have used? I got a 'sharp talon' last night and would have sold it if unhappyfish didn't point out that it's a nice item for smithing, so I save it for Atensen. Sooo... I thought we could have a little thread where people know to save shit for each other.
What tradeskill items should I keep for you? Later, I'll put together a list of tailoring stuff that I will need.
Or... is this just something that everyone does anyway because they already know every item for every tradeskill, and I'm just a huge newb?

I wouldn't mind doing that... I pick up herbs all the time just because it's a little extra money for me. I seem to see veins more than herbs anyway.

That brings up an interesting point for release.
When the game goes live I am thinking of just mastering two gathering skills, like Skinning, Mining or Herbalism, and just supply the guild with everything I get. This way if we concentrate on a few quality tradeskillers, instead of everyone sucking at it, it benefits everyone.
Thoughts.

I thought about that too... people who plan on that as soon as the game goes live will be ahead... even if it's just 2 or 3 people.
George is a priest who will be a miner and a tailor.
Jeff is a warrior who will be an herbalist and a blacksmith.
Jimmy is a shaman who will be a skinner and an alchemist.
George gives his ore to Jeff
Jeff gives his herbs to Jimmy
Jimmy gives his skins to George
All looted tradeskill items go to the respected tradeskiller... everyone is hooked up and clearly ahead of the game in comparison to those that didn't plan ahead.

This is what most of the big guilds in WoW are doing anyways, and it seems to work out nicely. Once we get more established (retail) we will also set up a mount fund so we can all have mounts asap. Guilds are about teamwork instead of personal gain. I'd like to see us all even powered instead of 2 or 3 people uber geared and the rest fall behind.
