I'll probably keep playing an undead priest... although I'm too new in this to know if I'll want something else =p.

Well
I'll continue playing druid... I love the class

A good horde group would be:
Warrior, Warlock, Mage, Druid, Priest.
or
Warrior, Mage, Shaman, Priest, Rogue
I think the best starting point is still Warrior, Mage, and Priest.
Warlocks are now excellent. Rogues are good DPS and useful. Druids are nice, but not a needed class, and no ress sucks.
No Hunters, please.

Any group with a Warrior, Priest, and Mage can add any other two classes, really.
Shaman rock. Definitely a very good class and a nice addition.
The problem is you can't really replace a Warrior or priest.
A warlock can sub for a mage. A rogue can DPS, but there is really only one great healing class, and one tanking class.

Hmmm only one great healing class?
Druids are awesome healers, In raid i have been main healer for aeing mages (ae mages are more mana consuming and harder to heal than tanks), as well as main tanks and have no problem.
our disadvantage to priests is... rezzing, i can only rez myself
our regens plus reg heals plus buffs, plus our thorns, etc make us very capable.
I have compared heals with priest, and druids healed for higher with less mana.
our mana pool is smaller than a priests. but i have had no problems thus far with my mana.

Thats the big problem with Druids. Priests do heal a lot better than Druids, though, too. It isn't really close.
Paladins can tank fine, but can't taunt. Same issue, really.
Druids are a good class, and well rounded. They are not a substitute for a Priest though, IMO.

Guess it depends who you group with as well..
I have played both druid and priest, and i found druid better for healing. But that was based on my own experience of playing... both.. i played priest in alpha, then in beta's till druids came along
But like anything... if you get someone who doesnt know there class well you will get differences...
ie. I saw a priest trying to solo in winterland at 59 and died to one mob who was 57, that same priest grouped with my brother's group in arathi and died to mobs faster than a level 38 priest did in a group he was in later.
edit... forgot to remove sig
