Anarchy Online for free

Post by Tacks »

I'm sorry but I absolutely loved this game. The only reason I'm not playing anymore if because 75% of their user base is European.

I had fun with it for a while. I still have my disks somewhere and $8 a month is cheap...

They turned the game around, and it was very stable and quite fun. Don't judge it on its release. Funcom busted their asses and made it one of the best games out.

The big problem is it was all non Americans, as Taxx said

I played on release, and have since tried to get back into it several times.

And every single time, I am driven sick and insane from retarded bugs.

When those people leave AO and go to a real game, theyre going to cream themselves in how bug-free they are in comparison.

And *gasp* developers who know what the fuck theyre doing.

I mean who the fuck adjusts apartment coding, and all combat is fucked? That's some fucked up programming "skills"

I played for a month at release and it was horrid.

I went back late last year and the game was fairly bug free and very stable. There was also a lot of content and a decent PVP system.

Different people, different results. I have had 2 crashes in WOW in about 4 months, 120 levels and a ton of content. Others crash numerous times every day.

Way to be an uninformed jackass. Apparently you didn't play EQ in beta? I can't believe you actually loved that bug-ridden trash.

Funcom is a good company and they know what the fuck they are doing. Their game is rock solid now (at least it was a year ago when I played).

You know nothing about the game if you actually believe funcom is a good company and their game is rock solid.

Fin, have to disagree with you. Last year I played and the game ran flawless, and my opinion of Funcom is similar to Taxx's.

My big issue is I'm not interested in a Futuristic setting, or I'd still be playing it.

If your opinion on a game is different than Finawin, you're clearly an idiot.

Tomorrow I will run a list of the bugs that I personally KNOW exist. And of the customer support that this game currently employs.

I dont know of what outdated information you guys are running offf of, but my father still plays this to this day.

200+ Fixer, and I hear the horror stories of this game at least daily. This game is Grade A shit. And I dont understand how you guys could even possibly pass this off as "decent".

Likewise, I have friends who still play this game often, and are completely in love with it, and believe it's by far the best on the market. If this game is so bad, why is your Dad still playing it?

Taxx and I have given you our opinion based on what we've seen. Again, I played for a few months late last year and the game ran flawlessly, and I was very impressed with it.

I'm not doubting you have seen some bad things. However, this is just what I've seen and I'm sure others have had different experiences.

I think the game is very stable and Funcom has good product.

Same company also put out The Longest Journey 1 and 2. Two of the best adventure games ever. AO right now is as bug-free as EQ is. Admittedly, AO was buggy as fuck for the first year...after that it was/is a badass game.

Even if the game is a steaming pile of crap, everyone and their dog seems to be downloading it.
