I was thinking about this game the other day and I wanted to play it again BADLY. I looked on ebay but they didn't have any versions for the PC. So I found it on underdogs...do yourself a favor and play it. It's difficult to get into at first but once you understand it, it's fucking awesome (at least it was 10 years ago when I played it).

Yes "New Horizons". The first one sucked. I can't get the fucking game to run on my machine though=/ any hints? I installed it and it freezes at the main screen.

yeah, seems the only ms-dos that works is the 'Koei' labeled one. if that doesnt work for you, i dunno.

If you can't get the PC version to work, try getting ahold of a SNES Emulator and the Rom for this one. The Console Port is almost identical (from what I can remember) to the PC version.

Just as long as it doesn't go totally unnoticed I'm happy. I would fucking love a remake of this game. Add a little more story and upgrade the graphics, that's all I want.

i've still got the genesis cartridge, it was definitely one of the greatest RPG's ever made, especially on sega.

you should look into Deus Ex if you never played it, it's a lot like a 3D shadowrun, but it's far more linear and story-driven
edit - that uncharted waters seems like 100x better on an snes emulator, it was on perma-turbo mode in dosbox, but now seems playable

If they remade Shadowrun, and did it properly, I would stop playing every other game I own.

concur. Someone make it so. Hell, we even have a Star Trek MMO in development...
