Technically speaking, the world of Oblivion is actually larger than Morrowind, but as Howard himself pointed out, Bethesda doesn't want "hundreds of hours of gameplay" to consist of a few minutes of fun punctuated by hours of boring traveling. Instead, the game will include a revised fast travel map that will hopefully eliminate a great deal of the annoying repetitive travel over long distances.

I loved Morrowind, but this is the one factor that really detracted from the gameplay IMO. Particularlyy irritating was the design of the city of Vivec.

Glad to see this was addressed.

If all the features they've listed come out on release date..this will be the biggest, baddest, single player-RPG..ever. Sounds too good to be true. :(

thats what the coc cheat was for. i got so tired of running back and forth i just used that to port to where i needed to run back to... very annoying have all those stupid rats chasin you when your lvl 20 + and havin to get rid of them cause its annoying red flashin on the screen

Baldur's Gate 2 is the best single player rpg ever made. such an engrossing story
