WOW beta exp 1/2 of retail?

Postby Lyion » Wed Oct 27, 2004 10:17 am

I was reading on the beta boards for WOW where several players referenced that the exp needed to level in WOW when the game went retail would be twice what it is in beta.

I'm hoping this isn't the case, but seeing how fast levelling is, it makes sense.

Anyone confirm or deny this?

Nobody from Blizz ever said it was 1/2. The last thing I saw a dev say was something along the lines of "xp speed was slighty increased for the beta, we're still tweaking the levelling curve".

I hope they do so you cant blow through to level 60 in 6 days. I cant wait for release. As long as they can stabalize their servers, it will be good.

They have to watch out though, right now from lvls 20 to 30 on horde there are barely enough quests to keep you lvling, they make it harder there's gonna be some questless grinding which is gonna piss me off.

Hopefully with the next patch, Ashenvale, Stonetalon, Desolace, and Thousand Needles remodels will take care of that problem. I like what they did with the remodling of those areas so far.

There are currently no plans to increase the exp per level requirement.

Orlak is me, btw. The exp curve will stay the same at release!

Hell, I liked 24-31 with very few quests. I just ground it out in 10k Needles doing the cave for ore. Went very nicely and I would do it again without hesitation... unless Vonkaar wanted to join me again and ruin the moment.

I did the same thing for leather, but that's not really the point of the game, gnome lover.

I dunno, it's a bit too easy to lvl right now

maybe I'm just acclimated to UO and EQ where reaching the endgame was a major accomplishment by itself

It should be >_<

EQ was so much better when the high level crowd was a minority.
