I played in the first event like this they did about 3 months ago. Pretty cool game. Got to run a few quests, which were slightly different than "Kill X things and bring back Y things.". One of the newbie quests was along the lines of "Go see what the goblins are up to." When you got the the goblin place and killed the semi-boss, the place erupted with all sorts of badass goblins. Your new mission changed to "run your ass back to the guards before your entire party gets killed".
There were also interactive objects in the game such as treasure chests and levers. Great graphics, decent game play. Definately worth trying out, especially for free.

cool yea i downloaded some of the movies of the game in action.. .Looks like alot of fun. Wish they did have it so you could have leveling like EQ but wasn't as much of a time sink.

I will say tho this weekend if i think its good enough i am gonna get it and if we get enough EQers we need to start a guild or something.

Now since i have a job i can afford it!

i just hope its good. Hasn't been great RPGs in a while even games lik EQ. Nifty concepts for zones and stuff as in you get a mission you get your own zone as in 50 people could be doing the same thing, but not on the same "map" which means no KSing Rushing trains on others hehe

I think if they added some of the concepts in GW to EQ it would be cooler than it was.

And from what i read it updates itself as in content will be added removed, stuff changed in zones and stuff.

Well we shall see

btw am i right about if you preorder the game, you are sent a disk that you can do the weekend events without joining a beta test? Might ahve read that wrong but i think thats what they are saying

At least its free... for the time being hehe (who knows if it catches on)

ok this sucks so any area i go to i have to wait for it to load lots o files.

But the way to Lion's whatever... pretty nifty game so far. cool graphics for the skills like Sprint hehe

I am malluas the faggy warior/elementalist hehe

didn't get a chance to cast yet tho.

the customizin weapons i think is awesome minus you can't give them to others. But i have some cool skull hammer thingy with 40% more dmg and something else that ican't remember

i just hope there are uber mobs/events in the game cause i havn't had to heal yet and just cruised thru the mobs. the little wussy lvl 2 mobs were harder than the lvl 8 ones.. go figure hehe

i have work tonight so i won't be around tonight until 10:30 pm my time in CA

it does look like a great game. I might preorder it so i can play on the weekends

necros are cool. I made a ranger/necro and it was cool doing melee, vampiric touching everything hehe and shooting arrows.

if there are items like in Diablo 2 that would be awsome. I am guessin they don't have any uber items in the game yet till next weekend beta testing (read something about that)

not sure it will give WoW or EQ2 a run but its great for those that don't wanna pay monthly

downloading 2nd area now, probably won't be done by the time i have to go to work

Anyone else think that the male models for most casters need to be less feminine? I checked Monk/Warr and they are fine. But Necro/Mesmer and Element look pretty girly.
