I thinnk the trade had both of us taking small risks, but if they pay off for us, the rewards will deffinatly be worth it.

I have a feeling that Grant Hill is going to do much better than people anticipated. All and all, that was a great trade arlos for both, we both came out on top with that one imho

It benefited both teams... which is a fucking rare thing in this league... people trying to do trades that only benefit themselves... blahblah, see rant a few pages back.

I think that I've done pretty well on trades.

Rashard Lewis(me) for Ron Artest(silv). Rashard Lewis, by almost every fantasy ranking, is ranked higher than Artest... but 2 days after the trade goes down, Lewis announces that he's out for a couple weeks with a foot injury. Obviously this works out pretty well for me.

Kurt Thomas and Chucky Atkins(me) for Kirk Hinrich(fin). I didn't need either player in my 'end goal' and I have a lot of faith in Hinrich.

Allen Iverson and Kenyon Martin(me) for Dirk Nowitzki and Zydrunas Ilgauskas(rotj). I lose a lot in point-guard but move up to one of the top players in the league and build up the strongest center duo in the league with Z+Shaq. I'm gambling that K-Mart won't have as many minutes as he did in NJ with so many forwards vying for court-time. I'm also gambling that Hinrich will have a great season.

Stephen Jackson, Al Jefferson and Ron Mercer(me) for Josh Howard and Devin Harris(Tad). This was by far my riskiest move because Stephen Jackson is almost definitely going to have a great year in Indiana. This trade was made even worse when Reggie Miller announced that he was out for 6-8 weeks with a broken hand... more minutes for Stephen Jackson... ouch. Al Jefferson could explode and Ron Mercer looks pretty healthy. However... I saw Josh Howard and Devin Harris in the preseason and it was enough for me to get them here. My hometown faith in these two might ruin my chances in this league, but I doubt it.

Yeah, if all goes according to expectations, it should help us both. It's that universal IF though. heh. I'm still not exactly fond of going into the season with PJ Brown as my starting PF tho, but no one seems to be dealing any good ones. Ah well, we'll see what happens, I guess.

Still looking for an answer to my question on whether or not we should be adjusting our roster nightly, depending on who's playing that night. (ie, if, say, one of my G's isn't playing that one night, but one of my bench G's IS, should I bench my usual starter and play my bench guy? Or will it not matter because I'm just gonna bench the guy again?)

It's possible, I guess, to squeeze a few points out... if you REALLY pay attention to the schedules. If you move a bench player to a normal position when the standard starter has an off-night... I guess...

too much trouble for me though =p.

K, did some research and this how I think it works.

You have 82 games per position for the whole year. SO if you switch in your bench players you might have a really good begining of the season but your team will cap off eventually and your waisting games played with potential scrubby players. So unless you think a perticular bench player is gonna have a big night OR you have injuries you should just keep your team as is.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

That's more correct than what I said earlier. Best to think of your bench as your injured reserved.

Or the pool you draw from if they're having breakout years and your starters suck.

vonk..quick question for my other fantasy team. Is Josh Howard, Daniels and Harris projected to get big minutes? Cos I'm having a logjam at the guards position there.

Got Harris, Hinrich, Mason, J.Howard, Juwan Howard, M.Daniels, Harpring and B.Wells to go among the 3 positions. Which three should I hit it with? Harpring on UTIL right now..and Daniels on Bench. Hinrich on PG, Mason on SG, Josh on G and Juwan on F.

He was asking advice on who to start on his OTHER fantasy team. If im reading correctly he has all those gaurds, and wants to know who is projected to be getting alot of minutes, so he can chose those as his gaurds.

Hey Vonk, Tyson Chandler PF for the bulls is going to be starting the season at the Center position, and its possible that he will get some playing time there throughout the season.

If you have the power, and there are no objections, could you please add that he is center eligible for me???

Most of the yahoo leagues didnt do similiar stuff. It always had to be fixed manually unless it was a BIG move. IE the guy was for sure going to start at that position the entire season.

Something like this, yahoo wont automatically do it. It is a Commisioner decision on something like this.

Damn, that's a pretty big logjam...

I'd play the Howards as forwards, unless you have some obvious candidates in that spot (dirk). Hinrich and Harris could be your starting guards... the other two openings are up for personal choice... and... who else is on your team. Give a full roster, might make it easier.

Xav, I'm looking into it.

I debated grabbing him over Barnes when I had the chance...

Holy shit, Barnes had a hell of a night... I'll be honest when I say that I've never seen this guy before. He really reminded me of a Jim Jackson.

Was sort of dissapointed that Nellie didn't play Howard more... it seemed that when he was on the court, we stopped Sac a lot better. Oh well... it was a pretty win.

And... hello...

Dirk?

Holy mother of God... he couldn't miss. I don't know when the league is going to figure this out, so I'll give them a free tip.

If your team is playing Dallas anytime soon, this illustration should come in handy. Mail it to the coaching staff. And... yes... I realize that this is a college court, the tip still applies.

Image

Anywhere underneath Dirk's head is his can't miss zone. It is PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for Dirk to miss if he's shooting from this spot. God himself (me) couldn't stop the ball from sinking from this shot. It simply cannot be done. If Dirk walks in this area for a pick&roll, just start walking back towards the other goal... he's going to score. Fouling him will only give him a 3-point play. The ball is going in.

In other news... I think that you should probably hold on to Webb, Taxx. He pretty much carried that team.

I get the feeling playing me this season might equate to a bye week....
