Hmmm I made Sith the day Nameless opened. Mud and I were talking a long while back and I think he had me beat by near 30 min or so. I just remember being level 9-10 and stepping on the boat to Qeynos (after 10 min of folks telling me how to find it) and getting a /guildinvite from some fewl gnome!(Hi Ganzo) Shit I'd only played for a day and a bit and I didn't know wtf a guild was haha, seeing as EQ was my first ever MMORPG.

I'm surprised no one mentioned using /ooc looking for a banker in SK. Friggin treants dropped too much crap coin. Or the hermit camp, god I hated camping him only to have some stupid gnoll come wandering by and hand me my ass.

or

If you ever paid/auctioned 1pp per ac on banded or 2pp per ac on bronze

or

Standing on top of the walls in freeport where you could nuke the guards and they could not hit you back

or

sitting on top of trainer hill in Crushbone camping the uber Shinny Brass Shield (I think that's the name of it) that would sell for 10plat!

or

Getting your ass handed to you by a Festering Hag_001 (in 1-2 casts no less) b/c someone tried to pull the tower thinking the bar wouldn't aggro as well...

or

Actually knowing where the Bar and Tower are in Unrest

or

Snero asking me if I had bothered to actually train a point in taunt at lvl 20 b/c for some reason I couldn't hold aggro EVER (Warrior came before Cleric and Black Bladed Claymore was the own. I also petitioned once because I couldn't get the Divine Aura gem to "pop" after I memed it, WTF?!)

...I could do this for hours but I'm done, this game was so much fun in the beginning...

when i had my human monk eliott and was levelling him before SoL and Pop came out i would have to sit in DL and wait for day time to come because i couldn't find my way through the ice tunnel in DL at night because i had no ultravision. Would have to borrow SoDs from beardo to use as a light source so i wouldn't keep getting turned around =\

i loved playing in circle of wrath with veneficus and draxx and blaade and drumdrum and valnas and all the OIT crew from oregon.

and of course the epic life-changing merge that was the Xinxi Lake<-->Circle of Wrath merge

then purgatory was cool until they made euphoria

then crimson tempest was cool until xbox came out and i quit

the best memory was that guy that was trying to roleplay a thieves guild called shinobi and all that rad RP shit they did with hidaeki until he was fired :dunno:

that's weird because i never did get jboots on any of my characters. I did of course cash in on the fabled ones but yeah must have been another dark elf enchanter with a bad rep~. Now if you had said like any other named in all of EQ then chances are yes i would have KSed someone for it but not that one.

Tarkien and Daemian did the majority of rogue roleplaying early on. Daem was part of the Blizzard crew. Tark led the Shinobi's and was decent, but not nearly the roleplayer Daemian was.

This was back when rogues sucked, and there were only a handful.

Bah I am suprised that so many old farts still around  I made my main char Tanatus (necromancer) back in november 18 1999 retied early in 2004. And ya I still remember competing for a levels with Tig in South Karana. I remember Drolk and heh if I remember correctly the only person who ever beaten Drolk in duel was cleric Nicegar (sp) (assling or dwarth). I do remember FOW - heh they managed first on server beat Lady Vox (altouth in time bitch was bugged as hell)
Oh well sweet memories...
