I would like to also give out a big fuck you to Sam Madison, for holding Anquan Boldin while JT sacked McCown's ass. Boldin would have probably blown past Madison, as it looked like he would have, but the pass could have been shitty. Oh yeah, Bill Gramatica makes 3 FG's, but misses a PAT.

Minor had a helluva game. The offensive line looked shitty like usual though. Big Mac sucks.

He's the only back they have that's worth a damn on the entire team. Hope he gets back to 100%..he's no Ricky Williams but he's no Sammy Morris either.

I think us 49ers fans can truly empathize with Miami fans right now. Both teams have achieved monumental levels of suck. At least in Miami, you guys only suck as bad as you do because your main RB (and most of your offense) screwed you bigtime. The 49ers have no excuses, they just fucking suck.

The 49ers are kind of talentless. So thats a halfway decent excuse.

However the Saints, on paper, are loaded. We truly have no excuse. Just suck, suck, SUCK, all the way to the bone. Sucky suckage.

I dunno which is worse, KNOWING your team has no talent, and is run by a pack of congenitally defected lackwits who couldn't figure out how to pour piss out of a bucket with directions printed on the bottom *OR* pulling your hair out at a talented team playing like their collective IQ was lower than that of a particularly retarded tapeworm.

I think I'd rather have the talented team, personally, cause at least you have hope. Out here in 49er-land, we just have eternal existential despair, trapped in a twilight zone of watching a set of uniforms that used to stand for utter excellence yet now are worn by a team that would lose to a last-place Pop Warner squad.

edit: 49ers aren't improving. They started out sucking, but played it close, their losses have gotten progressively larger. The only game they HAVE won was in OT, and against Arizona. Oooh, big accomplishment. :umno:

The saints piss me off to no end. They have fucking weapons on offense. But they look like shit on the field, and that is drastically fucking with my well thought out fantasy team.

Yeah Minrott. Deuce at number 5. Lifelong fan, and get to start Deuce. Great. Too bad the Saints suck. Loaded offense on paper, but act like retarded idiots on the field. No fire. It HAS to be coaching.

I think the team lost faith in Jim Haslett after the end of the year two years ago. Brooks with an obvious shoulder injury, he was playing like shit. Saints and Brooks lied and said no injury. Day after the season was over they revelaled that he was having shoulder surgery in the offseason. Jake Delhomme on the bench the whole time. They refused to start Jake, even though everyone saw how hurt Brooks was. We missed the playoffs. Im sure they remember that.

There was a Brooks sack in the 4th quarter, and the offensive line just stood there, doing nothing, standing around. Perfect illustration of our shitty attitude this year. Its Haslett.

New Orleans has one of the worst defenses in the league...I thought when they picked up Mike McKenzie for basically nothing it would help...I was wrong.

Don't fret 49ers fans...you DO have some good young talent. They just have salary cap issues which should clear up in the next couple years. As long as they don't go apeshit and fire everyone every 2 years they'll be fine come 2006.

My poor Chiefs are all going to turn 65 years old next year and I'm in for about 5-6 years of rebuilding, Lions-style...

I am now hoping for the 49ers to lose all of the rest of their games, so they can get the 1st overall pick. Of course, knowing their management, they would trade that pick for a early 2nd rounder, a early 3rd rounder and a bucket of chew spit, so they can avoid having to shell out first rounder signing bonus and contract money.

That Miami game I will have to get together with friends to see, get very drunk and we can call it the Shit Bowl. Maybe invent a drinking game, every dropped pass, drink. Every flubbed handoff, drink. Every time the D gives up a 1st down on 3rd and long, drink. Every stupid penalty, drink. Damn, we'd be at alcahol poisoning levels by midway into the 2nd quarter.

And I'm sorry Rey, the 49ers do NOT have good young talent. They have some adequate linebackers, 1 barely competant DE, and that's pretty much it. Their DBs all suck, the rest of their DL either sucks or is so old that they now suck, and their best LB is a Poston client who believes their spin comments. (yeah, right, we should give him a Peyton Manning contract because he is the "Quarterback of the Defense" Suuuuure.)

The last GOOD draft the 49ers had was the last one that Walsh got free hand in. This years' first rounder can't even crack the WR lineup. Given how shitty our WR corps has been, what does that say about our draft pick? Last year's 1st rounder is a complete bust at left tackle, and is barely adequate at RT. We don't have a single actually competant 1st tring QB on the entire staff. Barlow talks a big game, but now that he got his $$$, he's disappeared. Beasly's good, but you can't exactly build a offense around a FB. Couldn't even if he was as good as Rathman, and he's not. We have a reasonably decent TE, but again, he was part of that Walsh draft, and he gets hurt a lot.

Now, add in a complete fuckup GM (Donahue), and a owner who is the football equivalent of the owner of the Clippers, and I don't forsee having good days again for the 49ers, well, ever.

rey yea but THEY ARE ALL HURT! hehe

phelgm.. miami by 20 hehe

arlos your wrong on a bit of that. Adre Carter engleberger and Young are all good.. they have the best line backing core (5 deep) in the NFL when healthy and Ahmed plummer is one of the better cover guys when he is healthy

woods i am not sure whats that about.. i kno he held out and i think erikson didn't like that

Barlow.. needs the fuckin O line to block better.. then if he continues on his shittiness you kno he is shit. He was good last year with a good O line.

what the 9ers need is a saftey (counter part to Parrish) and CB, O line like 3 positions heh, and a DL that can rush the QB from the middle.

and be healthy lol

AND a QB if erikson doesn't put in Picket and see how he does.

Young was once good, now he's old and just adequate. Carter has the potential to be good, but he is ALWAYS hurt, and is undersized to boot, so he's not too good against the run. Engleberger, eh, he's a warm body, he's nothing special. He's not pitiful, like that Reggie McGrew guy we blew a 1st rounder on, but he's nothing special, either. Plummer, I'm sorry to say, would be a 3rd string CB on any reasonable defense. He would've been a practice squad player back in the 49er heyday. The LB corps IS passable, but there's no one truly dominant on there. Even Peterson, before he blew out his achilles tendon, was no Rey Lewis. He's fast, sure, but is not too large. He might do a lot better if moved to FS.

Barlow was good last year more when he got to trade off with Hearst. He and Beasley don't like each other at all, which must make for a great working dynamic between RB and FB. He's not AWFUL, but he sure disappeared in a hurry once he got his $$$ in the offseason. Eric Johnson's not bad, but he's a LONG way from Brent Jones. At least he's better than, say, Rickey Dudley.

Beyond that, we've got crap at WR, crap at QB, no depth at RB, Half an O-line at best (with no depth), crap at CB, crap at S.

Now, I could live with that, if they didn't have a ownership group and front office with a collective IQ lower than my shoe size. If they actually had someone who at least had once made a vague pretense of competance, I might actually have a faint glimmer of hope that the team would improve. As it is now though, I predict that by the end of the decade we'll be about like the Buc's of the 80s, and possibly be like the Bucs of their inaugural year. (Best sports quote ever: Coach of the Bucs their first year, after yet another loss where the players made a shitload of mistakes, was asked, "So coach, what do you think about your team's execution?" He answered: "I'm in favor of it.")

Yeah, they will get top 3 pick, and will trade it for 1 2nd, 1 3rd, and the used jockstrap from an actually talented player. This will be because they don't want to pay the $$$ in signing bonus and salary that a primo draft pick will command. They will claim it is because "They have to fill multiple holes on the team". Every outside observer will find it difficult to not laugh outright in their faces in person, and the media, especially bay area newspapers, will roast them thoroughly. York will proclaim "We think we have a great team, and we have salary cap issues again this year, sorry, maybe 2043."

York needs to die to a pack of rabid lemmings, and his wife needs to die in a horrible rubber band factory accident. Then maybe we can find out if their no-doubt mongoloid offspring even make pretenses of competance, or would at least be willing to sell the team to someone with a pulse.
