They are trying to emulate their latest MTV gods. Marilyn Manson is a freak and a shithead. Fuck he. I care more about a Russian 12,000 miles away from me than Marilyn Smacktard.

Haha have you watched MTV lately? Im fairly sure its 100% black now.
I dont buy into the whole youth crap, show me facts. If the best thing you can come up with is kids want to dress diffrently..?

And kids don't also dress up like gangsta thugs? Drive by a high school and open your eyes.

I guess I didnt make my point clear; I want more then dress code. Your father can influence the way you dress, someone you see on the streets, your girlfriend. You cant justify that dressing in one particular way is greater then another.

Yes I can. If your father is say, a successful businessman, and you dress just like him because you look up to him, that is cool. If you dress like Marilyn Manson or Outkast because you look up to them, then you are an idiot. Sorry to blow a gigantic hole in your theory.

So you admitt that you misjudged me. Perhaps you should offer the same respect to others who seem different from you.

I was always over it, you seem to have the hangups and issues with everyone. I thought you claimed that you had come back changed. I was amazed at the self restraint and respect you showed. In fact, I enjoyed hearing your opinions Where did that go?

I would love it if people in here (besides Vonk) would start really studying scripture. Some of you are so afraid of it, and you don't even know why.

Freedom of expression can be misused, and is frequently.

I have read scripture, I am interested in religious texts from many religions. I have and still do willingly pick up religious texts with the interest of learning about the religions they entail.

Actually now that Aryylas has posted it reminds me, a few months back he expressed interest in finding some form of religion to adhere to. We spoke at leangth and I even purchased him several texts from various religions to study from as well. None of us are what we seem to you Minda.

Oh; reasons. I wouldnt get the same thing from it that you do, just like if you read what I thought you wouldnt get the same thing. So it would be a waste of time for both of us.

I think you are missing the point of this thread. My entire point was to show people that hearfelt poem/prayer the child wrote, and how I concur. Liberalism is bad... in my opinion. You guys have done nothing but try to correct my opinion for 8 pages. It's not working, in case you haven't noticed. People that walk around flaunting their tattoos and body piercings are nothing but attention whores, and they did it because they care more for a musician/pop idol than God. That is sad.

The Old and New Testament go hand in hand. What "valid" reasons do you have for not wanting to read Scripture? Just curious...

I entered this thread when it was already over 5+ pages. I never attacked you or your beliefs, and have remained respectful of you the entire time. I am sorry I can not say the same for all posting here, but so goes life. I posted when some of the things you said seemed very unreasonable to me.

BTW: My choices for body modification have nothing to do with a rock star or actor at all. Its a cultural choice.
